Human Enhancement at Shakespeare's 450th Birthday

Posted by nootrope in nootrope's Blog, 23 April 2014 - - - - - - · 85 views

Shakespeare turns 450 this April 23. I'd already been thinking about him. Why? Well, here we often talk about "nootropics" and "transhumanism" and the singularity and--well, to use a Shakesperian phrase--the Brave New World that our technology is ushering in, and the people who will be in it. We see ads online for "lumosity", a company offering brain game...

Springbreak's over. I intended to study, but I didn't too much as I was completely in the mood for holidays. Oh well, still about 6 weeks until exams and my grades are always great, so no biggie!
Last weekend, I went on a city trip to Lille (France) and I have to say I was quite impressed. We went through the train station a couple of times before when go...

Response to Forbes Article "The First Immortal Does Not Live Among Us Today" The following poorly written article is seems to promote the idea that we just won't be able to live forever. BUNK! Here's my response:

1. You don't have to clone, just print. We're in the first stages of this.
2. You don't have to accelerate aging, just differentiation and put the right cells in the right places.
3. Brain transplants will be possi...

Search for Nelotanserin, might have found supplier

nelotanserin, eplivanserin

Well, I've decided not to give up on the fight for good sleep. I really need to switch off of pregabalin now. I do have eplivanserin, but am not sure of its purity, and it also has the propensity to cause diverticulosis in 1% of individuals, allegedly. So now I am looking to get Nelotanserin. I found some from a new supplier, and I'm eager to see if this...

If I could get paid for staring at a computer screen, I’d be a rich by now man. This is never likely to happen, so it means writer’s block is always going to be a bad thing in my world.

If your livelihood depends on you getting ideas down on paper, or you are trying to become the next Stephen King, you probably feel the same way about this kind...

I was driving down the street today when, for no apparent reason, I happened to recall a dispute I had with a friend when I was only about seven years old. The dispute was motivated by a drawing contest which culminated with me being accused of being unable to draw "everything in the world" (Remember, I was only seven.). Although at the time I...

Amyloid load

Posted by Mondey in Microglia Stem Cells, 08 October 2012 - * * * * * · 671 views

Amyloid load As for the effect the transplanted microglia have on the pathology: I do not see a big difference in the amount of amyloid in the Alzheimer mouse brain without cells (A) and with microglia transplanted (B). So we have to wait until we get all brains analysed by sterology for the exact amyloid quantification.

Greetings,
Dey
