I just thought of a useful analogy, to me at least, for healthy eating.
I know around imminst here this is preaching to the choir, but in any case...
Why would we want to dump anything into our stomach that isnt good fuel like, a soda, or even some processed orange juice. Would we do that with our car? Would we be putting the gas in and then add a shot of soda? Then later buy the cheaper gas witn msg in it? No, hell no we wouldnt do that to our car, so on earth would we do that to our bodies? We wont be on earth much longer if we keep doing it. I dont think that it needs to be changed on a personal level. I think it needs to be changed on a societal level.
Tear down, the gas stations that preserve their gas with msg, we dont need that garbage. Would we allow a that convenience store to stay up if they didnt use a dumpster service and they just threw their trash out back? Hell no, we dont let them do it to our cars, or the enviroment, but we let them, and ourselves do it to our bodies?
The only real difference is that our mouths can taste like, what if the gas hole on our cars could taste, would you put in the gas that was tastiest to it and sneak in a shot of soda for it here and there? You wouldnt.
