Obama's Motives for Evolving Look Like Dollar Signs

I think Obama was having trouble raising money from gay donors so he sent Joe Biden to say something gay-friendly.  That wasn't enough so he made a statement that he "personally" supported gay marriage.  But the states had to fight it out.  That's pretty lame when you are the President of the United States.  He was on" The View" today clarifying his differences from Mitt Romney's position.   Mitt Romney wants to introduce a constitutional amendment against gay marriage.  Obama told the Justice Department to stop defending DOMA.  That's not a lot.  When forced he stopped the Don't Ask, Don't Tell thing but it wasn't something he wanted to do.  He broke his promise about that until backed against the wall.  Barbara Walters asked him if he was going to try to get federal benefits for gay couples equivalent to heterosexual couples, like social security, etc.  He said DOMA wouldn't let him.  Why isn't he trying to repeal DOMA?

Look at the timing, he's in the middle of a a campaign and Wall Street isn't giving as generously as before because Mitt Romney has promised them that he will not regulate them at all.  If Obama really wanted to do something about this, or any social issue, he could have done it before.

President Obama is just another politician. He usually has very good speeches (written by somebody else). He does not do very much for us. He enjoys flights on his presidential 747 airliner (but who would not). He has a nice family that he takes a good care of.
Now, these are all nice things but, are these qualities by which we choose a president?????? Is it enough for an individual that represents and make decisions for one of the most powerful political and military machines in the world?????? After 4 years of his presidency I see him more like an incompetent man, afraid of fight in the arena into which he entered of his own will.
But! Whom will we vote for in the next election? Republicans seem more like a bunch of stubborn fools that care more for ideology than anything else. If most people would be as conservative as the republicans like to be, we would all be still in the relative safety of a cave with saber tooth tiger running around in the dark. In reality, we would all be dead today.
My feeling is that our political system really reached the dead end.
