So this cryonicist died in some pretty horrific circumstances... bludgeoned to death and left to rot tied to a shrub in a North African dessert. What became of him? How did they find him and bring his body to CI? Seems like it would have been one of the worst cases on record... maybe second to the guy who got shot in the head with a shotgun...

None of his stuff was ever found... so was this a hate crime? Was he involved in something that he got killed for? It's kind of hard to hoc serialized camera equipment for long... the parts would have had to come to something... at best they'd have gotten a few dollars worth of silver halide from the film, but other than that, what would they have made money off of? His camels were tattooed... Would it have been worth killing him? Or perhaps they didn't know how little it would be worth? I think there was something more... apparently he was already dead when he was tied to the shrub. So maybe the attackers wanted it to look like he was just robbed or hadn't intended to kill him? Sounds like a story hundreds of years in the making if they can thaw him out and ask him what happened. His case sounds terrible though. Hopefully he got a good preservation... my curiosity is piqued now.

Try asking Ben Best as he would of been there for Frank Cole's preservation. Looks like there is not a case report for him online.
