Guys hi,

Any of you out there notice that you are sensitive to some types of carbs, but can handle others fine?

Curious to hear what carbs make you feel best.

For me i can't handle grains at all, rice is medium, but feel better on potatoes / sweet potatoes. (still trying to have them for dinner only)

Fruits sometimes ok, sometimes make be tired, but usually always make me grumpy next day.

I feel best when I add some intact whole grains to most of my meals. They give me a super even energy level across the day and it takes longer before I'm hungry again.  Brown/black/red rice, whole oats(for breakfast), wheat berries, teff, quinoa, barley, etc.

Fruits are great but I prefer them as dessert or as a snack. I don't think I would like being a fruitarian and eat 20 mangos for breakfast or something like that. I'd be hungry after an hour.

Either white-rice or barley. I feel a bit better with barley, but I eat more rice due to convenience and versatility.

Rice is fine, but can be an immune stimulant if you're not used to it.

Potatoes are great and give a small mood boost from the keto-acids.

Some fruits are fine, but if you have dysbiosis issues, then fruit fiber can cause problems in your gut.

Lentil soup is great.  Purple yams/sweet potatoes work well also.

In the order:

  • Fruits
  • Honey
  • Oats
  • All whole cereals in moderation
  • Potatoes
  • Legumes

Rice, unless it's grown in California, may contain high amounts of inorganic Arsenic, it has become one of those foods to be very careful about.
