A 17 year-old poster here last year (paragon) claimed gram + doses helped his ADHD, and improved his academic performance.
There was a study in adolescent rats he found that seemed to show it improved their maze-solving ability.
That said, no one knows the effect on a 13 year old, there have been no such human studies and extreme caution is called for. No physician would recommend it, I am sure. While I consider it unlikely, there is always the possibility of undesirable, even disastrous effects. There is also the question whether even a precocious 13-year old is capable of informed consent.

On this board, there is a woman that gives it to her child, but because of a congenital metabolic disorder called Prader Willi Syndrome.

Having said that, my brother called me up a week ago asking me all sorts of questions. After the intense Q&A I asked why he was suddenly so interested since it was rare to have him ask me so many resveratrol questions.
Well, it appears his nephew (on his wife's side) has lung cancer and is 13 years old.
All I can say, is that if he was my son, I personally would not hesitate to put him on resveratrol while he is also taking chemo. I would consider that an exception. I sent my brother some micronized resveratrol, told him to mix it in a solution for better absorption and asked him to let me know if he believes it helped, since there are no studies confirming that it (would/would not) work. There is simply no real data on real live humans, with this issue.
Again, I personally would not give it to a healthy child at this time, but do understand that their are exceptions if it appears to be a serious matter, and the parents completely realize that this may not work at all.
Cheers
