1. Does anybody knows wat will or can happen if somebody stops using (high) dossage of resv. 1 -2 gr. after a couple of years?
2. As we all using it what can be the consequences of long term usage? For myself I take the risk but e.g. I don't give it to my 17 y. prof. sporting son.

I am actually in the middle of stopping rsv for a week before trying a new supplement we have finished work on.
I haven't found an issue with stopping rsv, and my pain from a bike injury (I mentioned this to Maxwatt a loooong time ago) hasn't come back either.

Anyway, I will start back up on 2 grams again after I note any effects on my system with the new supplement.

Having said that, let your son make his own decision when he is older. I don't think he may need this if he as at the top of his game. I usually ask folks to consider it after their 26th birthday.

cheers

Why is resveratrol not recommended to young people?

I personally don't, simply because they are still developing and we have far less data on how it affects a healthy developing child.

However, there are exceptions I would definitely consider. Other manufacturers that produce 500mg capsules state on their bottle that resveratrol can be taken by 10 years old.

Other than the 'exceptions' I would consider, I simply would not agree with the statement that a healthy 10 year old should take 500mg.

I've gone from 100 mg to 500 mg to 6 grams of resveratrol/day and then back down to 500 mg/day and then back up to 5 grams/day. Never noticed any difference.

Astragaloside IV from Astragalus

We considered mixing it with res in a formula, but decided against it because we believe res may decrease it's effectiveness.
So if you take res in the evening, you would take this in the morning, or vice-versa...

Cheers.

Hi scorpe
I've stopped and started and nothing happened. The things it cured, like mortons neuroma, stayed cured.
I've noticed that most of the people complaining of joint pain from taking Res are very athletic active younger people in their 20's or early30's
which leads me to believe that it might not be appropriate for them.

I really hope so but we have seen with THEFIRSTIMMORTAL that stopping using vits, having stress and being locked up may have caused his cancer so stopping with taking a lot of good vits probably had a negative effect. Therefore after using a very long time a powerful thing like resv. could also have a negative effect. I have increased my intake now to 1.5 gr. . No difference noticed between my former intake of 700 mg. but still feeling very healthy for years now. Missmini It seems to have a very nice effect on your dog and I am really happy for you. We have a small dog a jack russell which is our child so we know you dont 'want to loose him.

I also started proteolytic enzymes as it seems to be anti inflammatory so I hope it will reduce the selling in my hands although they do'n hurt so much anymore (may be resv. usage?). I also have seen it is used in tratment of fighting cancer so may be another thing to consider for THEFIRSTIMMORTAL?
