No I don't, I wish there were... Glad to know that I am not the only person in Israel interested in the topic! Actually I had two Ilias from Rishon in my class, did you, by chance, went to school in Tel Aviv?

I think there should be a forum of Israelies too, under the forum of Regional.
Me too from Israel, I managed to see quite alot Israelis over here.
Ilia, I think there are some Israeli groups connected to the immortality subject, quite new if so to say, but that's at least getting somewhere, I seeked for it over the internet, unfortunately I couldn't find it.
Alex, are you sure you checked you are the only Israeli person who is interested in that? because I managed to see few hanging around...

Hi, Alex and Infernity. I also believe there are more than the three of us, but they are "underground". A couple of years ago I heard about "Physical Immortality" branches in Israel, but they seemed to be largely involved with diet and meditation. An Israeli forum is an excellent idea.
Alex, as to your previous question, I finished high school in Russia. I did, however, study at the Technion for a while. I knew its Biology department was somewhat interested in aging research. Prof. Gershon did some very significant work on oxidative stress and aging, and Prof. Gepstein discovered some sort of plant longevity gene. Is there anything new and exciting going on over there?

Now, I can tell you there are more Israelis over that site. exept you two I think I've seem four more!
Moreover- I read over the news paper about a month ago about some Israelis whom developing the idea of researching in order to receive physical immortality. I should have post it over the Israel forum :\ ... unfortunately I couldn't find the article or anything about it on the internet...

Unfortunately Prof. Gershon has retired, there are certainly some new and exciting things going on in the Technion. A new staff member whose research focus are stem cells joined the biomedical faculty this semester (Which is a first to that faculty). I can tell about my departments – The new physics building have been opened last semester and it is gradually occupied, The Biophysics lab of prof. Erez moved there last week, I have been there and it looks very nice (They actually have a whole biophysics complex). The nano center is soon to be opened with prof. Uri Sivan heading it (it is expected to perform some biophysics research as well) and the ee nano center is on the way.

What did you studied? When?
