I think by "education" they mean schools and possibly colleges, but I could be wrong. Anyway, if "healthcare" includes "medical research," than Imminst will quaily since it funds medical research besides running its educational activities.I think Imminst easily falls under healthcare and education, but I am biased.

It would be nice if someone could double check my list, but it was pretty time consuming to compile. So, I understand why no one would want to.By the way, I agree with your list of charities (plus I don't have the time to go through the Chase database to find out what else is available) and the classification of recommended and suggested. I don't see any other suggestions so this is the list I will use in the article and mass email. If there are any other suggestions, we can implement them in future media efforts (before the first deadline).
Before sending the mass email, you might want to remove my note next to the Campaign for Aging Research.

About the education part, Im not sure either, but I just wanted to throw this out there, that on top of the general things we do for education so far, I guess it can be said that at least one substantially measurable educational thing we have done is give grants to the sensfai-u.

There's a Facebook cause and group.Wasn't there a Facebook charity for Zheng Cui's granulocyte transfer approach? I can't find it.
Unfortunately, the charity, Stem Cell Cancer & Regenerative Medicine Research Foundation, that Cui is using to get donations isn't listed with Chase Community Giving. Even if it was listed and it won $25k, that doesn't mean it would donate anything to Cui's work.

Yes, sometimes the page doesn't load except for the top and bottom headers.I switched to my other computer. It started doing the same thing. Then the redirect finally took me to a facebook page, but I think it must have cut out all the content, because I dont see anything except for a mostly blank page with a few buttons at the top and bottom that dont look like they are relevant to voting, or adding an app or something like that.

I voted for it. Can you add it in the list?
(taken from http://www.bmscti.or...nicalTrials.htm ; we have been pushing those efforts for some time but it has been interrupted a few weeks ago because of lack of money)The South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Institute is now running a new clinical trial
protocol (08001-BMSCTI) for investigating a novel cancer therapy using transfusions of white blood cells from healthy donors. This investigative new cancer therapy was developed from the exciting research results of studying natural cancer resistance in a unique strain of lab mouse (SR/CR mice) and in some healthy humans.

I missed it when I was looking through the database; thanks for catching it. I see why I missed it; when the full name is copied and pasted, nothing pops-up. You have to enter only "Stem Cell Cancer" to get any result.Oh great thank you! I voted for it. Can you add it in the list?
Mind will have to update the official list. I'm going to recommend that he remove "Louies Run For The Mass General Hospital Parkinsons Research" and add this Foundation to either the "Recommended" section or the top of the "Other" section.

Anything related to cryonics will likely not pass the Advisory Board, because according to Chase Community Giving's FAQ, "Facebook users will be able to nominate non profits that serve the general public in the following focus areas: education, healthcare, housing, the environment, combating hunger, arts and culture, human services, and animal welfare." Although we might think that cryonics would fall under the healthcare category, I doubt that the Advisory Board will see it that way.I see Jimmy voted for this cryonics entry. Can we add this one to the list too? I would put it in the top list there so we can try to get more of our cryonics contacts to be sure to help us spread this as widely as they can.

Subject Line: Your Vote=Cash For Imminst
Yet another social networking grant competition has been announced and Imminst has a legitimate shot at $25,000! The “popularity contest” – sponsored by JPMorgan Chase will hand out $25,000 grants to the top 100 vote-getters.
If you have a Facebook account click here to vote for Imminst now. The deadline for voting is December 11th.
If you don’t have a Facebook account, get one now, and click here to read more about this contest.
There is also a forum discussion with tips and plans for promoting Imminst in this contest.
A simple thing you can do is use social networking websites to promote Imminst in this contest.
This is the link to the contest: http://apps.facebook...ommunitygiving/
This is a link to the page where you vote for Imminst: http://apps.facebook...arities/1304580

Greetings (or attention, or hello, etc…):
This is “name” from the Imminst.org Internetworking Team and I would like to alert you to an important grant contest that could net a $25,000 grant for many worthy life extension and future-oriented charities. JPMorgan Chase is giving out 100 $25,000 grants to local charities that garner the most Facebook votes in their “Chase Community Giving” contest. Please see here for a list of charities that Imminst is recommending: http://www.imminst.o...ommunity-giving
The deadline is December 11th. With 100 grants being handed out, there is a legitimate chance that several on the list will end up in the winner’s circle. What we are asking is a little help in winning the grant money for these organizations. If it is not too much trouble, could you please either post this contest on your facebook cause page or send a mass email to your members – which includes the list found here: http://www.imminst.o...ommunity-giving Or at least link to the details of the contest.
Thanks so much for your help.

...Imminst has a legitimate shot at $25,000 along with 19 other charities that Imminst is promoting for a total of $500,000 (20 charities x $25,000)!
The "http://apps.facebook...ygiving/">click here to vote for Imminst now" link should be http://apps.facebook...arities/1304580. And the links in the bullet list have garbled characters at the end of their URLs which prevent them from opening the right pages. If you have a Facebook account <a onclick="window.open(this.href,'','');return false" href="http://apps.facebook.../1304580">click here to vote for Imminst</a> and <a onclick="window.open(this.href,'','');return false" href="http://www.imminst.o...y-giving">click here to vote for the other 19 charities</a> that Imminst is promoting.

I would add this stuff as an attachment in a second email to make it easier for them to incorporate into a webpage or html email. Put a P.S. in your first email saying you will be sending them a second email with the list of 20 charities with html. The first list is the html coded list of charities. The second list is just the naked urls.
I suggest sending 2 emails because attachments are sometimes filtered out as spam.

Dear (“group name”):
I would like to inform you of an exciting opportunity to earn grant money for your organization and other charities working to end the suffering of age-related disease. It is the Chase Community Giving contest - a social networking grant contest where 100 charities will take home a grant of $25,000. Read more here: http://apps.facebook...ommunitygiving/
We at Imminst.org looked through the list of charities to support (each person gets 20 votes) and found your organization to be one of stellar dedication and accomplishment. That is why we are encouraging our 5,000+ members to vote for (“group name”) and 19 other worthy charities. Read more here: http://www.imminst.o...ommunity-giving
In order to enhance our collective influence we are asking that each organization post information about the contest on their official website or Facebook page and message their membership. If it is too much trouble to update web pages then perhaps just post a link to: http://www.imminst.o...ommunity-giving where the entire list is organized and links to each Chase page where votes are cast.
This is an exciting opportunity. Don’t delay – the deadline is December 11th.
Sincerely, Devon Fowler
Director of Outreach
P.S. I am sending a second email with an attachment that has the list of charities coded in html and ready for posting on your website. Check your spam folder in case it is automatically filtered. Feel free to change the order of the list in order to more prominently display your charity.
