Uh but I dont!
Well I've never been very good at holding my tongue anyway, so i'll tell you. Stand back, this will probably cause a bunch of pantys to get in a wad.
Whenever Glisodin is brought up it makes me want to compare it to Protandim. My first post on this board last year was about Protandim and It caused a storm of controversy. Now every time I mention it I get accused by various members of assorted improprieties.
Apparently a few years ago, long before Protandim went on the market last year, and before I heard of it, it got talked to death on this board. The general consensus seemed to end up being that the company making it is crooked, and It isn't very effective, and the claims were lies. At the time that conclusion was made it may have made since, I don't know. That was then this is now. When I found out about Protandim last June I was unaware of the earlier history of the company. A TV show on ABC did a piece on it and that's how I found out about it. By then most of the movers and shakers on this board had already set their opinions in cement and no amount of evidence is going to change their minds. To make matters worse, as time has gone by the evidence is mounting that seems to prove that Protandim is the most effective product on the market at reducing oxidative stress. This is like pouring gasoline on the fire especially when a dumb ass like me points it out to the more learned members. Nobody likes to admit they might be wrong. The main problem is I have all the science on my side so it makes it hard to refute my position without just attacking me. I remain open minded however, but nobody seems to be able to show a better product that has as good of evidence. Glisodin seems to be the only one that might have a chance.
When you said ....."Money I guess. Doing clinical studies is VERY expensive and supplement companies rarely can afford them. I dont know who made Glisodin, but I dont think its a pharma".
I agree with you. The company that makes Protandim is a very small company. Not only did they do a expensive human, and mouse study, they also went to the extra trouble to get the human study Peer Review Published in a prominent publication specializing in oxidative stress, but nobody here even acknowledged it except me.
Don't worry though, you can talk about Glisodin all you want and nobody will complain.
