P90X can be done at home. Purchase a $30 pullup bar for your doorway, some resistance bands, and possibly a yoga mat and you're set. I have a set of dumbbells as well but P90X is no joke and allows me to mix it up and allowed me to get in the best shape of my life in the privacy of my own home and takes about an hour a day. Forget a gym membership. I have no affiliation with the company. Just a huge fan and sharing what worked for me as an option for you to explore. That is all.

I've trained a few people coming off the P90X workouts and I gotta say, their stabilization, muscular endurance, and strength was sorely lacking. Don't get me wrong... P90X will HELP you get to where you're going. I don't believe it's the end-all solution. For some... it may be, but definitely not for everybody.
I DO encourage you to try it.

Get behind a hot girl at one of the cardio. machines and repeat to yourself "I want, I want" until your 30 minutes are over. You wont are what anyone thinks.
You may have more of an abundance of those in the Caribbean, Lufega!

I've felt this way before. I think anxiety like this is common. It's prevented me from making full use of memberships I've bought in the past.Does anyone else, feel like this: I feel as though when i excercise, people are looking at me and going "ugh dont bother" like there is not point, just nervous about hitting the gym is all.
One approach is exercising at home but gyms do have equipment that's really useful (high pulldowns for example) which most of us lack. I don't think anyone would look down on you for training lat pulldowns at a gym.

I've learned over the years that diet is AT LEAST half of successful fat loss. It's important with muscle gains as well, but form, technique and the played out muscle confusion is important too. Switch up your routine every month. Bring a buddy to the gym, get some pointers.
Another thing: being in the best shape of my life never stopped me from scruitinizing myself. Your confidence will rarely catch up with your body, but your body will catch up with your confidence.
