Greetings from Montreal!

I have to say about 80% of everything I search on Google links here on the first page of results.
Subsequently, I have had many of my internet inquiries answered here. Usually through replies to other posters similar questions.

I have decided that it makes more sense to register and actually post the specific questions I have as well as finally contributing my own answers.

I'm currently taking some upper level biochemistry and graduate level pharmacology classes so I'm going to try and justify this as studying. (lol)

I'll be around.

-Panda

Nice to have you here Panda! Keep studying. Maybe you can teach us a few things as well.

Do you plan to pursue aging research with your degrees? That's why a lot of us are here - to combat the aging process at the cellular level via SENS and other paradigms (Supplements being one).

Welcome to the forum!

One lurker outed, 10,000 left to go.  This site attracts a lot of lurkers.  Educated lurkers, at times.  Welcome.

Thanks.

Aging is not a specific interest of mine. Age-associated pathology is; specifically Type II Diabetes, Cancer, and Cardiovascular Infarct.

The whole telomeric extension, immortality thing seems a little far fetched for my liking. I do, however, passionately wish to curtail mentioned  pathology for myself and others.

I've been on a pharmacology tangent recently and am curious about the supplements I take. I will post in the appropriate section after midterms.

Welcome! :D Good to see you have the education to potentially help end some of the misery of aging even if you consider some of the things discussed here too far fetched.

Telomeric extension doesn't even scratch the surface of what we're aiming for. Many of us here are in support of SENS, which addresses all the age related damage and seeks to repair it, thus maintaining youth indefinitely. It's an engineering approach to fixing aging:

Here's what I mean: (Here's the link to the SENS foundation Website: http://sens.org/sens...research-themes)

Also, a video to give you a better idea of what this is all about:
