Today's downtime brought a number of major improvements to the forum software but almost all of them are behind the scenes. You may notice new autosave and editing capacity. Inside, the most important new feature (next to a security fix) is an improved capacity to render our articlespage. This will soon be our new 'main page' and this upgrade means that we can ask everyone to contribute, whether or not that person knows how to code in html.

As always, there will be a few errors associated with this upgrade. Please report them in the issues forum.

One important intermittent bug has already been identified:  The attempt to post links inside a post may 'freeze' proceedings for some people.

To test this try to post a link (the post may be lost if this doesn't work)

If the screen goes gray,

1) PRESS Ctrl+F5
and
2) close ALL browser windows before reloading LongeCity    
and
3) revisit LongeCity and press PRESS Ctrl+F5 again
