Definately use my argument

seivtcho's argument.

posts 19 and 28

I already converted the boredom view extremely successfully of several people. And I keep going without any stoppage. Now they have many anti-forever young views, but not that one.

And my argument is absolutely scientifically correct and true.

Simply explain them that the healthy brain has the ability to forget. Thus it forgets all kind of joys. Watch a movie from your childhood, and you will see, that the effect is as if you watch it for the very first time. That is the key for not getting bored - you will go over and over the same nice excursions, read the same nice books, watch the same nice movies. When you read 100 000 nice books, at the end of the 100 000-th you will have forgotten completely the first 1000

A never ending cycle of enjoyment because of the forgetting ability of the human brain.

Just because there is a risk of growing bored with daily life once indefinite life extension is achieved, it doesnt mean indefinite life extension should not be undesirable for one to strive for.

If someone really feels the way the OP has depicted in their original post and would rather not undergo procedure to extend their lifespan, then I think that is that person's business and should not affect others' views supporting life extension. Furthermore, I think life extension will mostly likely be optional once it is able to be given, and if that is the case then those opposing life extension should not bother seeking treatment.

Suspended animation and uploaded collective-human consciousnesss is the only thing that makes me excited. Cryonics is awesome and learned much about it in 3rd grade when I read a high-level test on the ethics, science, future, and medical use of cryonics and vitrification. I even went to the Cryonics lab in Michigan when I was 16 to check it out and meet a few friends.

You can plan for your cryonics care with life insurance, advanced medical directives, and transport when you die. They give you a bracelet/necklace you can wear so when you're in the ER or medics obtain you, they can process you when you become a client. Annual expenses aren't actually much considering you're just maintained with liquid hydrogen.
