Ive been reading alot of milk not being good for you and more especially soy milk, Ive been a heavy milk drinker for years, never had a single bone in my body broken , EVER, done martial arts, aggresive skating and so on, what would be a good substitute from normal milk or soymilk that is good for you ??

Thanks

Tomas

What about freshly boiled egg shells? they contain a lot of calcium. I drink coconut milk, but not for calcium

it sounds like you want a substitute to satisfy your cravings for milk-drinks. I can't imagine that fortified soy milk, oat milk, and coconut milk are similar nutritionally.. Is that true?

Well not really , Its no cravings that im after just to substitute my milk intake from cowsmilk or soymilk. As its basically the only source I get my calcium from.

soymilk is fortified with calcium and other vitamins (i think..?). So drinking that or any other milk product is equivalent to having the calcium supplement, and then whatever liquid that supplement is in. Unless you really like the liquid, then maybe getting the calcium some other way is better.

fish, leafy greans and some nuts have significant amounts of calcium which is absorbed well. I'm not sure you need to worry about calcium so much though. Bone health is obviously very complex and involves many things, so eating better foods in general, not searching specifically for calcium, might get you farther.

Relax. It's hyperbole.
I know it for a fact, considering I live in the Balkans and the staple of our diet is dairy based.

Most of the bacteria in milk and especially yogurt - they're good for you. Probiotics.

Getting infected with mad cow is about as possible as getting hit by lightning. All animal farms in the EU are scrutinized. And raw milk is pasteurized.

Allergens in milk are a fact. Which shouldn't concern you if you're not ALLERGIC to them. You might as well stop eating bread because of the gluten while you're at it... then again  I better not give you any ideas, you seem to be impressionable.

Getting fat of milk is a f*cking joke. Soy has about twice the amount of fats you'd get in the same amount of milk. Of course - butter is a different story, but we're talking about milk and yogurt here.

All in all it's just the typical scaremongering article hardcore vegans like to write.
They think animal foods are the food of Satan we get that, but the thing is veggies and fruits have their undersides too for instance you remember the germans who got Escherichia coli last year and died right ?

The linked article contains a lot of BS, for example the demonization of fat and dietary cholesterol. Outdated hyperbole.

You can drink cows milk. It's not going to make you fat. And it certainly won't give you mad cow or induce an anaphylactic shock.

It's not the perfect food, that is true, but there ISN'T such a thing as a perfect food.
Also consider this
Research undertaken by the Universities of Reading, Cardiff and Bristol has found that drinking milk can lessen the chances of dying from illnesses such as coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke by up to 15-20%.

Do NOT drink soymilk, it contains phytoestrogens that do not belong in a man's body!

Yes, it's too unsafe if you eat them raw or leave them after boiling.

Utter poppycock.
If you're not lactose intolerant milk is a very nutritious drink.
