There is game that was published by Square Enix calledDeus Ex: Human Revolution http://en.wikipedia....uman_Revolution They went hard-core on the commercials for the game and they made them seem like as if it was a real company advertizing products. They also made it so that their site got "hacked" by a terrorist organization that is against human augmentation.
Check out the videos below!

Serrif Industries human enhancement products:

The made up terrorist group "Purity First" in the game that "hacks" their website(the site square enix made in real life) and uploads this video to it(but it was just square enix saying that they did when they really just changed it themselves) Cool marketing ploy?:

Way cool.

Btw immortalist, what do you think about the new google glasses? I'm excited about the possibilities, but I can't help thinking that the interface will be unintuitive and cumbersome. I think that in order for it to succeed we'll need some sort of brain-interface that will allow us to operate the computer inside the glasses using just our thoughts.

Here's the google glasses video if anyone hasn't seen it:

I honestly don't see the point. You could do all those things with a smart phone. Although it is intriguing in that it could make life more like a video game.

Well, I suppose you could watch movies and experience augmented reality. While I agree that phones can do this as well, they can't do it very effectively because they're limited by the size of their screens. With these glasses, you can overcome this limitation by imposing images on the user's field of view.

Imagine also being able to look at stuff and getting information about what you're looking at. I think that's pretty cool, and it opens up many possibilities for exploring your surroundings.

This is very exciting, imagine looking at a stranger and seeing a full bio on them, or looking at an item in a shop and being able to see review instantly overlayed, or trying to get from A to B and seeing a track line on the floor like in Dead Space, or if you are driving and the racing line is overlayed in front of you.
