Does Inositol need to be cycled?

Synaptik's Photo Synaptik 21 Apr 2012

I've been working Google all morning to find out whether Inositol needs to be cycled, but cannot find anything about this. I was wondering if anybody on here knows. I'm guessing ALL supplements need to be cycled on some levels (days for some, multiple weeks for others).

I took 3G of Inositol yesterday after resisting for many years since I doubted it would have a significant effect. I was wrong about that. In combination with 500MG of Choline Bitartrate, I felt fantastic all day. Word fluency was noticeably improved, mood was good (talkative), but the biggest effect was the suppression of any negative periphral thoughts. Just focused on the now without while background thoughts/stress totally disappeared. Upon doing more research, have discovered it creates greater serotonin sensitivity and is a great mood stabilizer by facilitating neurotransmitter development in the brain.

Fortunately, I've always been sensitive to a broad range of supplements in relatively low doses. Inositol is no exception. Hopefully, this substance can form the basis of a core component in a NOOT stack in combination with choline, Sam-e, tyrosine, TMG and ALCAR combos (not all at the same time). Thoughts appreciated.

Does noone have any information on whether inositol needs to be cycled? The best I could find are a couple anecdotes of people 'plateauing' and not getting the same effect after a few weeks. But I suppose it's like that with basically any supplement. My reading has also lead me to believe I'm an undermethylator, so perhaps that's why I'm supplement sensitive.

Anyway, still waiting for some good info as I honestly can't find any.
