Hey guys,

I've never had piracetam or any other nootropic before, but I ordered some piracetam to aid me with my revision studies before the exams, and they arrived today. I also went out and bought some choline inositol tablets to have with them.

Anyway, I was in the library and decided to try them. I took 3x 800mg tablets, and 1x 500mg choline inositol tablet. I was less than impressed with the results...

An hour after taking them, I started to feel fairly tired, and actually found it HARDER to concentrate on my work. These symptoms continued for the next hour or so, until I went back to normal.

I then went to kickboxing later that day and was even more tired than usual :/

What am I doing wrong? Have I been ripped off?

Many thanks for any help given :)

The effects can be rather strong the first times (the first week?), a good pointer would be not taking any choline UNLESS you get headaches,
for many people choline does more harm than good since piracetam isn't that taxing on your choline resources.

People also try it with L-glutamate or other racetams.

Well I decided to take 4.4g about 2 hours ago, and again all it's done is made me feel a bit more drowsy with a slight headache. I honestly don't know what i'm doing wrong :(

Well I had another 5.2g earlier, once again it did nothing, except this time I didn't really get a headache.

I think I've just wasted £16

Try using very small doses. I use 200mg 2-3 times daily and it works for me.

Most racetams don't start working right away. For me they're usually really subtle for the first week or so and build in intensity over the course of daily dosing. Drowsiness is sometimes transient, so I'd try for a bit longer with regular dosing. 3 to 5 grams of piracetam two or three times per day. If that doesn't do anything in a week then I'd scrap the piracetam and try something else. Piracetam seems to do next to nothing for me.

Try noopept. It's cheap (per dose price) and effective for most people.
