Love the site and just wanted to introduce myself. Im a current student studying medicine and will be to specializing in orthopedic surgery. I love health and wellness and have developed a deep interest in nootropics. Any questions feel free to ask. I also look forward to contributing to the community in any way that I can and appreciate all the hard work that's already been done!

Hi.  Not a lot of folks from the Southeast on here, so I thought I would say hello from Georgia.

Hello and welcome Futureortho! :-D  I'm not from anywhere near the US but I always make an effort to welcome new members when I see an introduction thread.

If you would like to help us in our fight against the misery of involuntary death and that unfair clock dictating our life span, please check out our Action! section or PM brokenportal or one of the other directors directly. You only need fifteen minutes a day to make a huge difference but more is even better. :)

Great to have another medical student in the forums. Thanks for the introduction. Be sure to keep everyone informed about the latest trends and insights into the medical profession.

Welcome! A few questions I like to ask to medicine students, there is no wrong answer:

- is a concept of "aging" a large component in your courses? or do we instead generally talk about "diseases"?

- If a frail old man needs long-term-care following a cold or a fall or something else that would not have mattered to a young person, would your professors consider that the culprit is the cold?

- If we had to choose between developing drugs that maintain frail people a little longer or developing drugs that have long term positive effects (similarly to regular exercice), what should we choose?

=> what should be medicine like today?

Cheers,
AgeVivo.
