How can I know if my acetylcholine is too high or too low??

I´ve been reading different articles and the symptoms seem to be very similar. Any difference in the symptoms??

One megadose of choline (for example 2.500 mg of Alpha GPC) could cause any problem?? Excess of choline is harmful??

Thanks

I can't agree with 100% of what he wrote beneath the list, but it's a start: http://mindrenewal.us/page13.html.

Hi dasheenster.

When I looked in internet for the symptoms of high acetylcholine I also find that page. The problem is that symptoms of low acetylcholine and high acetylcholine are very similar. Take a look:

1) High acetylcholine:

http://mindrenewal.us/page13.html

2) Low acetylcholine:

http://www.nutrition...line deficiency

As you can see there are similar symptoms so it´s really diffcult (according to this web pages) to know if my acetylcholine levels are high or low.

Any idea?? Also, take one time a megadose of 2.500 mg. of Alpha GPC it´s harmful (I took one year ago this quantity with piracetam as "attack dosage". No consecuences positive or negative).

Well, the simplest thing you can do is to simply buy some CDP-choline and ingest it. If you truly have low choline, you should feel a fairly quick improvement in cognition.

And, if you have too high choline, well...! You'll feel a pretty quick worsening of symptoms.

If you don't feel anything in perticular, only mild improvement or worsening, then your problem propably isn't related to aCH.

As per this informative post:

you could cut eggs out and see if that helps or hurts, or try something upstream of acetylcholine... as a starting point, dopamine generally inhibits its release why opioids promote it. just another way to see how you respond to respective increases and decreases in acetylcholine levels.

Wouldn't an even easier way of doing this be to have him eat like 6-7 eggs per day for a while? Then he doesn't have to remove egg from other parts of his diet - just increase the intake directly! : D

If he's got too much, then he should be getting much worse, in a matter of hours - so probably a good idea to do this in the morning, and during lunch. Then he'll have time to notice if he get worse or better prior to any possible work-related crash in the after-noon.

I forgot about eggs and choline, but it should work decently well to affect choline-levels.

I read this midday, threw 500mg of CDP Choline in the mouth - def felt better. I must be on the low end of the spectrum. What's a good dose to be on?
