I am taking both and now I am having unexplained vomiting. Do these things have anything to do with eachother. Would these two together cause serotonin syndrome.

SAMe is thought to increase the sensitivity of various neuro-receptors that bind the transmitters Serotonin, Norepinephrine and Dopamine, or to improve the ability of these transmitters to bind to their receptors.

Lexapro is an SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor).

The combination could possibly result in a serotonin syndrome. Be careful severe SS can be life threatening. I'd drop the SAM-e if I was you. Consult with your psychiatrist as well.
