http://www.scienceda...30501131845.htm thought id send yous this link

I did abit of research on "gonadotropin-releasing hormone" which is decreased by activating this pathway, it seems to be related to testosterone http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/1878432. More testosterone seems to mean less gonadotropin-releasing hormone. So this finding is not particularly new in 'my mind'. just provides further proof. see activating this pathway caused an 1.2 increase in lifespan. likely cause that women and eunuchs live longer than uncastrated men. I think it would've been interesting if they had noted whether activating the pathway caused an effect on testosterone, then we could possibly live longer without decreasing testosterone levels.

I will note however, I have reasonable reason to believe that testosterone isn't the real reason why we don't live as long. testosterone affects our behaviour. I will go out on a limb here and say something possibly controversial to many of you. I believe that because testosterone affects lust and more 'pleasurable' behaviour, this loss in ejaculation holds a lot to do with our lifespan. most animals live 8-10 times their physical maturity, why is it we don't and that we only live 3-4 times our physical maturity? well I believe this loss is the primary cause of that. compare the frequency that animals engage in sexual behaviour compared to humans.... its crazy... we are extremely sexually charged. women and eunuchs have less sexual desires as a result of the decrease in testosterone. See our body uses the most important nutrients for our reproduction. Look at the ingredients in semen alone and it is staggering. I believe our body does this because we are NOT biologically immortal, but we can escape death of our 'species' through reproduction thus given the importance of the reproductive organs.

anyhow I believe my two forum topics I have posted on this site are basically the whole extent of my ability to help others live longer.. so I wont be posting anymore topics in the foreseeable future.. comments appreciated

More testosterone seems to mean less gonadotropin-releasing hormone

Actually more GnRH means more T means less GnRH (negative feedback loop).
Hypothalamus GnRH --(+)--> Pituitary LH ---( + )---> Gonads (balls) T ----( - )---> Hypothalamus GnRH

Your "controversial" little theory has no scientific basis, but you should probably know that it's pretty much the Taoist philosophy/theory of sexuality.

"When testosterone levels are low, gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) is released by the hypothalamus which in turn stimulates the pituitary gland to release FSH and LH". im confused the study and that quote seem to imply the opposite? could you show me where you found that it does the opposite? it actually doesn't matter if you believe me or not with what I said... I actually don't expect anyone to.. but I feel that I should tell yous regardless.. its people duty to decide what to do with information whether they want to look at it or do away with it

oh wait I see what you mean, that the low levels of testosterone mean the hormone is released which brings them back up... but theoretically should keeping them low mean the hormone will be more active?

Yes you got it, the HPA axis is controlled by a negative feedback loop mechanism... A way for the body to maintain homeostasis (stability)
High T signals less GnRH which in turn leads to less LH which leads to less T
Low T signals more GnRH which leads to more LH which leads to more T

Also you didn't pay attention to my post, you are not the only one to beleive what you wrote and you didn't "invent" it, millions of people (mostly in china) share this view on sexuality related to longevity and health and it's been around for about 2500 years. I'm surprised you didn't know about it.
Read this http://en.wikipedia....exual_Practices and tell me if it isn't pretty much what you have in mind

yeah sorry, I knew that the basis of Taoism was very similar aka (ejaculation being life essence) but I never said I invented it, I will say though that I came to believe this without even knowing that there were other beliefs regarding it. It is also a theory held by some people practicing inner alchemy also. However the only thing I share in common with these two theories is the basis... I do not what so ever think having sex with virgins is going to replenish it lol or any of the other stuff and in regards to inner alchemy, they have developed methods which allow one to 'injaculate' which I do not think works either. So I would not call myself a practitioner of either of these beliefs...
