I have been messing around with various nootropics to find what best suits me, which changes with time, as do I. I will keep this account as non personal as possible. I have been consuming Piracetam at doses of 1-3 grams a day on average. Hydergine at 0.25g sublingually most days. Pyritinol on heavy days. Aniracetam on social days. Today I have got into my posession Atomoxetine. They came in 10mg capsules. Evening, after having a feast for lunch I consumed one capsule. I have noticed the following effects -
My concentration on the task at hand has greatly improved. This effect is more pronounced than that caused by Piracetam. Procrastination levels have gone down and decisions on what to do and what will be done after are more fluid and effective. Overall I am more alert of my surroundings. Socially my interactions have been somewhat improved, with me going out of my way to put that extra touch into the interaction, whereas I do not usually. Maybe this one effect was situational or placebo, I do not know.

Overall I think this drug can be used on an as needed basis but if the effects are consistent, the needs will be consistent aswell. It seems to synergise with piracetam.

Atomoxetine is probably the best ADHD drug I've tried (especially when combined with modafinil). Unfortunately the effect will change with consistent use, fatigue and lethargy may set in once you've adopted to it. What I dislike most of all personally is how robolike I get on it, really wish there was a way to offset this..

Atomoxetine has affected me so well that I might aswell reverse diagnose myself with ADHD. I have not gone up in dosage which remains at 10mg. The recommended dose stands at 18mg while many people are prescribed dosages of 40 and 80mgs. I am hoping the dosage will slow the build up that takes place or completely eliminate the process. I am also taking it only once a day. Maybe I will alternate it with Modafinil when I get some. Can someone on the forum shed some light on this? I will dose 20 mg at once and see how it goes next time. What dosage were you on?

I was on low doses, ~10 mg.
Sorry but I don't think you can offset the way the body adapts to it, this is just how the drug works. This may not affect you too badly though. However, it'll still work for ADHD, working memory, executive functions etc so hopefully you've found a drug that works for you!

Bacopa is serotonergic in a complicated way; it modulates 5-HT(2c) receptors which increases selective serotonin sensitivity:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19439326

Taken with atomoxetine, will the effects be synergistic or put one in danger of serotonin syndrome?

No, definitely not. The only herbal extract I can think of that would contribute significantly to serotonin toxicity would be St. Johns Wort, but its mechanism is much more direct, potent, and indiscriminate than Bacopa.

For a quick trip to the local morgue, combine a prescription SSRI, a prescription MAO-A inhibitor, MDMA, and methamphetamine.

The risk of serotonin syndrome is low for most people in most situations and mainly becomes a problem for people who mess around with prescription antidepressant combinations, especially in combination with illicit serotonin releasing agents. I'm one of the lucky ones who has been "nearly dead" from the syndrome, after I was prescribed Celexa with trazodone. But most people would not have responded as I did; I just happen to be hypersensitive to serotonergic meds.

I take adderall xr 30mg and atomoxetine 80mg with my noot stack and 300-500mg of caffeine and it is amazing. I love it so much. I feel rich music, in control of my life, optimistic, social, loving, motivated. It has changed my life. It isn;t uncommon to just stop and pause for even a half hour just in awe of being alive...

Adderall in general causes euphoria. If you are currently experiencing euphoria, the feeling will most likely not be sustainable. Your receptors will downregulate in an attempt to return to homeostasis.

Thanks for the input guys. I should let you know that I have stopped taking both Atomoxetine and Bacopa. I stopped bacopa very early on because of testicular shrinkage and worries over fertiity. I was not planning on taking it habitually anyways. Its effects were nice to have, improved memory and focus. Atomoxetine was stopped because of its sexual side effects. As I have started to take Selegeline 1-2.5 mg per week both bacopa and atomoxetine are off the table for me.

I bought it from the local pharmacy. I have surplus, pm me if anyone is interested.
