Hi Guys,

I'm currently taking some Phosphatidylserine to lower some high cortisol I have. I'm also taking sme l theanine and GABA to calm me down a little also.

I understand l theanine and GABA can be taken on an empty stomach... but can Phosphatidylserine be taken on an empty stomach too?

I would like to take them together when I wake up in the morning, but I don't feel like eating straight away.

Thanks for the help!

Oz

Oh, and if its ok to take theanine, GABA, and Phosphatidylserine on an empty stomach, is 30mins long enough to wait to eat after I take them?

Thanks

I'm not aware of any studies indicating impaired/ improved absorption of PS with/ without meals.

I've always taken my PS on an empty stomach, either first thing in the morning, or just before bed.

It doesn't change anything, at least not in my experience.
However it is recommended to take it with food because it will lower slightly your blood sugar, also PS might cause a dopamine rush when taken on empty stomach.
I doubt absorption is inhibited by food, PS itself is present in food, it is merely a fatty acid and generally fatty acid are better absorbed with food.

I've always taken it with food and it works great. Have not tried it on an empty stomach, why might it cause a dopamine rush?
