I read about a study from The Lancet which supposedly states that supplementing
vitamin D doesn't really make a huge difference when it comes to bone health, cancer prevention and
so on. Anyone who also heard about this?
So basically this means if you have totally low D then it doesn't matter cause taking D makes no difference?
Sounds pretty silly to me.

You're not reading it right.

Vitamin D deficiency causes problems with bone health, cancer, and so on. It is the supranormal levels of Vitamin D that do not make a huge difference.

Basically, if you have totally low D then take Vitamin D supplements, and they will be useful.

But the way I read it on the news it sounded like taking vitamin D is useless cause it makes no huge difference.

I mean who wants supranormal levels? Not me. I just want moderate to high normal but NOT low normal.
I mean I recently had 31 and the range goes from 30-60 or so and my doc was like it's all fine.
