Should we expand our conversation to regenerative/replacement surgery?

  1. Yes! I was thinking LongeCity would be a great place to talk about things like knee replacement surgery! (1 votes [100.00%])

We call lots of things transhumanism. Things such as glasses, braces, dental implants, knee/hip replacements, liposuction, laser eye surgery and power chairs are all things we can consider to be transhumanist. Also, all of these things would be best discussed here. We have user/memberbase that is skilled in topics that make for great adjunct therapies to these things and can suggest the best options. I think we could be considerably more profitable by leveraging this market. We could fund the development of this forum with the small grants and guest editor budgets.

In a time when people are becoming fed up with insurance and what not in the US (where most of this stuff is probably performed), we can provide international opinions and global options. We could even impact the progress of these therapies and our contributions could become policy or procedure while stuffing our budget for longevity research and expanding our audience and reach into traditional markets.

Many transhumanists already inherently favour life extension tech. Expanding the userbase with transhumanist interests if possible is a logical step.
