Is astaxanthin bad cause it's too strong as an antioxidant?

First I heard that astaxanthin is really good and popular because it's so strong.
Then I heard that it's also dangerous cause it could lower oxidative stress too much.
What now? Take it only in cycles?
This is so unsatisfying when you buy supplements and then don't even know if they are actually
helpful or not.

Salmon and Flamingos don't seem to have a problem with far higher doses.

High fruit,vegetable, nut, cacao, tea intake should provide vast antioxidant increase, yet AFAIK it is beneficial. HIgh antioxidants can only be problematic if they interfere too strongly with some messaging pathway or if they turn pro oxidant, iirc.
