A nice magazine article from Vice - mag online.

Will 'Smart Drugs' Really Make Us Smarter, or Just Ruin Our Lives?

By Alex Horne Mar 25 2014

Duke says of humans, “We are all nootnauts; some of us just try harder.” And it’s a sentiment that’s been true throughout our history. Great advances in our evolution have been precipitated by adjustments to our diets.

The article also includes a link to a subReddit topic 'Nootropics'.

"VICE, a magazine I started in Montreal in 1994 that has since become a global company operating in 30 countries."

Hi Willy, `Spent quite a bit of time poking around in the pages of Vice. I was unaware of it. Thanks, Interesting mag. I didn't think the article left me with a very positive take away. They threw the names around and in the end they weren't sure enough to leave the fence. I am someone who hopes to get some benefits from using nootropics, so I was hoping for a little more science and less ambiguity. If I'm not mistaken there is some science around isn't there?

That said I only read thru it once and I'm describing the impression I came away with. So anyone interested should read the article for themselves. I wouldn't mind hearing if I missed something.

In some places I've see noots listed as a separate category from cognitive enhancing substances. Do you happen to know how that hair splits?

Ron
