I've taken prozac off and on, but mostly on, for the last 7 years. I've never had any abnormal side effects. Recently I've started adding some supplements and other things. I'm not sure what is doing it, but this is a smart group of people so I thought I'd ask. I am diagnosed with major depressive disorder and ADD, not bipolar. I feel like that has been an accurate diagnosis, but recently with my current medications and supplements something is sending me into a kind of hypomanic state. It's not necessarily unenjoyable, but I can tell that something is off. My thoughts are racing, I can't focus, I get paranoid, I can't complete a task, I'm having great ideas and realizations but I can't focus enough to do anything with them. At the same time I get completely caught up in what I'm doing and forget everything else. It's hard to explain, but I'm fairly certain this is a case of mania. So here's what I'm taking.
40mg Prozac
100-200mg Wellbutrin (I've stopped that the last day or so to see if it makes a difference)
180mg Baclofen (I take high doses of baclofen to combat alcoholism)
14g Kratom (7g morning and 7g early evening for pain)
500mg DMAE
500mg Rhodiola
500mg Taurine (with 10mg B6)
Ashwagandha
333mg Dopa Bean
2g inositol
100mg 5-HTP
60mg Gingko Biloba
600mg NAC
1500mg GABA
1g Hydrolyzed fish collagen
400mg magnesium
10mg bioperine
200mg L-Theanine
B complex
2000 IU Vitamin D
multi vitamin
It's probably that multi vitamin isn't it ; )
I'm also running about 16-20 miles/week, 2 yoga classes a week, the mother of a 3 year old, and I have a very demanding job. If there's any suggestions that anyone has about things I should be taking or shouldn't be or thoughts on what is causing the mania I would really appreciate your feedback.
