LongeCity Ambassadors would be members who engage in public speaking on our behalf and would deliver a canned speech or present a powerpoint project on various topics related to our organizational goals. This endeavor would include creating the PPT files and speeches and finding events where they could be given to raise awareness of LongeCity.

Participants would be able to be reimbursed for expenses under existing budget line items.

I'd no way have the guts for this but think that it is an excellent idea to get people who are engaging and good with the public to speak publicly about this. We already have religious preacher types always speaking publicly so why not longevity people? :)

I used to but its been years since I used it. Its not required in my job even though I'm an office worker. No way I'd be doing the ambassador thing anyways. I like things where I can hide away and on top of that I am not that good with people and a really bad choice if you want positive representation. Nothing I hate more than being noticed and singled out. :/

Oh, I was only saying that you might be able to help make the ppt files. Don't worry, I won't push you onto a stage :)

Many organizations has this type of role, but it is fairly formal. We just can't have anyone speak on behalf of LongeCity. They should be carefully evaluated and be a member of the leadership team or have some sort-of leadership role.

I suppose I didn't give enough information. People would need to be authorized to represent LC and would be applying for microgrants for their presentations. The canned presentations would be to help establish local chapters and give members the opportunity and enabling to get local chapters started.

It is advisable for Immortalist type groups, both within Longecity and with other like minded groups, to meet with each other using voice and video on line. Using Google Hangouts is one possibility. It is free. We would then be able to make on line plans from our homes.

We could raise money for the cause by having an on line store. It would give good value. To start this would require the use of organizations membership data bases in order to contact our people. That's not so easy. We might have to find a way to use the data bases without seeing the names. Organizations are protective of their members.
