What mimics the neuro-anti-inflammatory effects of cannabidiol & anandamide?

Experience has taught me that chronic cannabis use produces a dysphoric mood in me. However, not smoking cannabis for about 2 months straight or more produces mild aggression, reduced empathy, rigid thinking, and narrow-mindedness. So for me, smoking cannabis every couple months seems to be ideal.

However, I'm currently living in Dubai for a year. Cannabis here is not safely available.

My hypothesis is that the positive effects of occasionally smoking (and the negative effects of chronic abstinence from cannabis) are due to the neuro-anti-inflammatory effects of cannabidiol and THC's mimicry of anandamide. Do you think that might be true?

Based on this hypothesis, I bought some high quality Omega-3 fish oil and astaxanthin a month ago to try to produce a similar neuro-anti-inflammatory effect. This brought my personality back to baseline, which lends further credence to this hypothesis.

However, fish oil is not a perfect solution. Do you know of any supplements, nutrients, foods, herbs, etc. (besides chocolate or cannabis) that would provide cannabidiol or anandamide or something that would mimic their neuro-anti-inflammatory and other positive effects?

Thanks for your help!

Curcumin I'd say, for the neuronal anti-inflammatory action. For higher anandamide levels, I suggest searching for "FAAH inhibitor". AFAIK, CBD enhances anandamide signalling as well. I'm not sure of how strict Dubai is, but CBD is legal in the US and Netherlands. It's just pretty expensive.

Check out CanChew gum.

Awesome, thank you formergenius! My forum-search-sense is telling me that maca is probably the most readily available FAAH inhibitor...sound about right?

I had no idea something like CanChew gum existed, and I have no idea if it's obtainable in Dubai, but just knowing it exists makes my day.

Paracetamol is a better FAAH inhibitor than maca.

Meat, egg and dairy intake should help maintain optimal anandamide production and olive oil should do likewise for oleamide.

Have you looked at Hyperforin? It's been found to be have potent anti-inflammatory action, being approximately 3-18 times stronger than aspirin. Also on a side note, stop smoking weed and start vaping. Vaporousing reduces cancer risk by up to 95% and is significantly better for the cardiovascular system than smoke. Not to mention that vapors are odorless where as weed smoke has a very strong odor that lingers.

Great thread.. I will add to this later.

Anyone else with any other substances ? or hypothesis ?

And Btw, the O.P is in Dubai, and it is very strict for cannabis use.

You can get up to Four Years in prison for One Joint or roughly 0.3 Grams of Cannabis.

Testing positive for cannabis in your Urine, is also classed as possession in Dubai.

One man from Britain got four years for 0.003 Grams of Hashish under his shoe.

I would not bother with Can Chew or anything cannabis related in dubai.

URB597 is an FAAH inhibitor that can be gotten online and has seeming strong antidepressant, antianxiety activity, and also increases BDNF according to studies i've looked at (mice).
