Does anybody have any suggestions as to how long I will need to wash out on Paxil (Taking a generic extended release version, 1x25mg) prior to starting Tianeptine?

I've stopped the Paxil last week, Tuesday was my last dose. Typically by this time I would have brain zaps (very, very bad ones). I'm not sure why I'm not getting them (or just very mile, tolerable ones) now, but a wild guess would be because I've been supplementing with Curcumin for a few months now (See below for type, not sure if it's the best or not).

However, I have had arguments with my wife over stupid things and I know it's my fault, so I need to get this process over as I'm an emotional roller coaster at this time. FYI, I have no suicidal ideation or anything that bad, but I have lost motivation and feel no emotional bonds with people - even my children and wife - with the paxil.

So I need to get this show on the road and improve myself!

I'm going to be ordering Tianeptine today, probably from "Smart drugs for thought", unless somebody has a good reason why I shouldn't order from them.

At any rate, any suggestions on how long I will need to was out from Paxil? I'm hoping about 10 days will be enough.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Oh, I almost forgot. I started taking Nuvigil (Armodafinil)on work days, but I don't think that's whats stopping the zapping. I take it mostly because I have a great deal of daytime somnolence, almost falling asleep at work sometimes. Had that for as long as I can remember, even as a child.

This is what's in the brand of curcumin I'm taking:

Meriva Turmeric Phytosome
(Curcuma longa rhizome/Glycine max soybeans)
(standardized to 18-22% curcuminoids [90 mg-110 mg]
###########################################

I've taken tianeptine alongside a standard dose of duloxetine, so the washout isn't required. There is also one study done using tianeptine to augment, IIRC, fluoxetine with no issues. So you'll be ok to start as soon as you get the tianeptine. I've never used smart drugs for thought, so I can't comment on their quality.

Thank you

Good to know. Hopefully the Tianeptine kicks in before my wife kicks me out... :)

Meriva is a decent curcumin. I think it has a mild antidepressant action (just an opinion based on my own use & observations).

Well, I ordered the Tianeptine from Smart Drugs for thought on Monday night. It's still listed as "processing"...

I'm in a very dark place now, can't wait for it to get here. I also ordered some of ceretropic's liquid couleracetam, hoping that might help lift my mood in the meantime. The Nuvigil which I have a prescription for, isn't really providing mood support in and of itself. But it does keep me awake, at least.

Has anybody here ordered Tianeptine from "Smart Drugs for Thought"? I sent them an email, and was assured all their products are manufactured in the U.S. Hope that's true.

Having good luck with the washout. I've had no paxil withdrawal symptoms for days, and it was comparatively easy this time. Stated Tianeptine on Friday I believe, and by Saturday evening was already feeling some anti anxiety effects. I certainly hop that it is as remarkable as I think it might be for me.

Also stated some sublingual coluracetam, but I don't think it goes well with armodafinil, so I'll relegate it to the weekends (it was just too too muchiness).

The biggest deal for me is that the brain fog and excessive daytime somnolence seems to be less of a problem even while not taking armodafinil. Here's to hoping for some anti-depressant effects from the Tianeptine within a couple of weeks!

Does anybody know if Tianeptine and armodafinil require any particular back end nutritional support, such as in the way choline goes with Racetams?
