This has been covered on the web,but I'd like a clearer answer.

Is it beneficial, helpful to exercise with a cold?

Will training with a cold slow down recovery from the cold.

Should one take cold medications while training?

I think the general rule that if you have a chest cold, with allot of Phlem(like with the Flu),maby do not train. But it's ok to train moderately with a cold with no slow down in recovery.

Is the above conclusion correct?

My cycling coach said the accepted wisdom is head congestion can help cold symptoms but with chest congestion one shouldn't work out.  Makes apparent sense, in that chest congestion could progress to bronchitis or pleurisy.

Whenever I'm sick I always find a nice workout makes me feel better and recover faster, but it could hjust all be in my head.

I always cease training when ill. I have a terrible immune system though and I don't like to give it any additional challenges Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
