Uh oh they are trying to untangle the metabolic puzzle rather than testing the worms if I am reading that right. Might be a while before we see solid therapies if that is the case. Which Helminths are you using now?

What do you mean by testing the worms? The worms are currently being tested by a billion people on the planet. I'm using human hookworm.

I referred to the researchers. I worry they will spend their time trying to figure out a patentable worm-mimic-drug rather than investigate the worms themselves.

I think you're right. They will patent a single molocule drug they can make billion$ with. But the worms are dynamic living beings we coevolved with, no pill will ever come close.
