Hi, All :)

I am using the following herbs after doing research on this forum. Thanks for all the info.

Ashwagandha is my favourite of the bunch because it's not slowing me down. Waiting to feel the effects of Rhodiola.

Swanson Herb Bacopa Monnieri Ext (250mg, 90 Capsules)

45% bacoside concentration

Recommended dosage: 1 capsule two to three times a day.
I was taking it at breakfast, lunch and in the evening (6pm). I even notice the strong sedative effect after taking a single capsule.

I am going to cease taking this for a while despite it having an anxiolytic effect. The effect is no where near as good as Phenibut because it seems like I am thinking slower. On Phenibut my thoughts are more fluid and it doesn't feel like I am living in slow motion. Bacopa feels like I just don't care about anything and I am having to force myself to work, for example. I remember just standing in the living room feeling very relaxed, not worrying about anything and just taking my time - I haven't experienced something like this in a while. It was very nice. I don't think it's possible to work on this though.

Am I dosing wrong? Surely it can't be this relaxing. It's bordering sedative.
Shall I just take one before bed or, say, 9pm, that way it won't effect my mental performance during the day that much, I hope.
Can you folks please share you experiences with this.

Planetary Herbals, Ashwagandha, Full Spectrum, 570 mg, 60 Tablets
Ashwagandha Root Extract (25:1) Yielding 5% Withanolides 70 mg of the 570mg

Recommended dosage: one tablet two times a day.

Works. 10/10. Wish more things were this simple.

Now Rhodiola 60 vcaps
3% rosavins and 1% salidrosides

Recommended dosage: one tablet two times a day.

I've just started taking this. Not really sure I've notice anything just yet, but then again I am only taking one tablet in the morning with my breakfast.

Is it safe to take this at night, say, 9pm?

Are there any other herbs worth trying out? I have mild anxiety, something which I can control if I exercise and/or meditate/deep breathing.

Thanks very much I am loving this place!

In my opinion, rhodiola can interfere with sleep if taken too late in the day.

You may not directly feel anything with rhodiola--I don't. I use some high-potency stuff that helps me get more done (Viridian). But it is not till the end of the day when I notice how much I have achieved that I realise the rhodiola has helped me. I take a couple when I have a demanding day ahead--but I do not take it every day.

Not a herb, but magnesium helps me keep chilled out. Niacinamide has a mentally relaxing effect on me too.

I like ashwagandha, but I go steady with it because it can trigger my migraines. We are all wired up differently, though.

Best of luck.

You can try taking the rhodiola before bed to see how it affects you.  I've read that rosavins are inhibiting and salidrosides are stimulating, so your extract might be okay before bedtime.  The one rhodiola extract that I have used what the opposite of yours, i.e. 3% salidrosides and 1% rosavins, which I always took in the morning.  I'm not sure if I noticed it being particularly stimulating, but it definitely wasn't inhibiting or relaxing, so I wouldn't recommend such an extract before bed.

I am beginning to like the effects of Bacopa. It does not feel as sedative as before. It's beginning to feel more serene.

I'd like to also point out smoking a joint whilst on Bacopa is very nice. I smoke 80% Sativa and 20% Indica.
