Hello everyone. I have a situation here that I am very concerned about.

You see, mondays, tuesdays, and fridays, I go to sleep at roughly 1230 am. and wake up around 10 am or 11 am. Then, one day a week, from sunday into monday, I fall asleep at about 230 am and sleep until roughly 12 pm (I work starting at 6 pm with bright fluorescent lights... warehouse work)...... I am concerned that my sleep scehdule is entirely ruined through this process, and that it will, in the long run, age me further.............. But I have heard of vitamin B12 and melatonin (time released), helping to regulate this rhythm......

I mean, if anything I AM getting over 8 hours of sleep per night, but still I am sure that this major fluctuation in my sleep wake schedule is very bad.....

Even worse, once september hits, my nursing program begins, which is especially bad, due to the fact that now my work schedule is the same, being:

Monday (5pm to 12 am.............fall asleep at 1230 am)

Tuesday (5pm, to roughly 1030pm or 11 pm)

Wedsday no work (can fall asleep around 9 pm)

Thursday is same as wedsday at this point)

Friday (5pm to 11pm and even up to 1 am)

Saturday= no work

Sunday work (6 pm to 12 am)

^^^^ Regarding the above schedule, once september hits, Every Sunday, monday and tuesday night, I will need to wake by 630 the following morning, meaning that I will get an average of 6 hours of sleep per night for Sunday, monday, and tuesday nights............... I sincerely need your help, my friends. I need advice so that I can continue my antiaging. Is there ANYTHING I can take/do in order to reduce any damage being done (By the way, due to all of this IS there damage being done?) Should I quit this and find another job? Is this causing me to age more quickly? I am 22 and 7 months old, And am trying everything in my power to stop the aging process

I think your aging pretty damn fast right this moment with all the worrying your doing. Your 22 to start with. Your still a baby. Yes take melatonin. It should help some and maybe prevent some bad things from erratic sleep. When all is said and done and you maybe become a nurse, I don't have to tell you that they keep some mad ass hours. :wacko:

You shouldn't worry that much. For the last 9 years I went to bed at 5 am on average. Haven't caught  a cold during that time, though I still think it might be extremely unhealthy, but I can't do nothing about it - I feel more alive at night.

God this is the main thing that plagues me,   that I love to be up at night --   I used to even run at night (until I was badly attacked)    My dad is the same way and he's nearly eighty and STILL trying to fix the damn sleep issue.   We both like to be up very very late (it's FUN and exciting)   but it sucks because I also do love the early morning.   I know it's soo bad.   Is there any way to force myself to live the dull,  dreary life of a farmer who goes to bed with the sun and wakes up at six and somehow doesn't find it depressing?   I really want this....but somehow every fiber of my being finds it tragic.    Maybe force myself to get sleepy with sleeping aids?   Btw I did the nursing school thing and you may want to get over the worry about your allegedly bad schedule --   just wait.   What you think is worth worrying about now is a joke.   As long as you get eight hours you're fine.   Eat healthy,  exercise,  quit being a drag on yourself.   Maybe I should think this way too?
