Chrysiasis is a skin pigmentation disorder due to the use of gold salts, for example in the treatment of RA.  Colloidal gold is not a soluble salt form, however, so it might not do this.  However, there are some famous cases of guys who turned themselves into smurfs using colloidal silver.  I'd stay away from that one.

Argyria is the silver-equivalent of Chrysiasis, and is due mainly to the ingestion of silver salts, combined with silver sensitivity or allergy. Homemade colloidal silver can contain silver chloride that is not completely reduced to metal nanoparticles. In addition, the particle-size within the colloid can be too large to safely be ingested. Lastly, the individuals who have experienced discoloration all, without exception, continued to use colloidal silver for months, or even years, before the effects were noticeable. This practice goes against all conventional wisdom, as silver is never to be taken for extended periods.

Silver is an effective antimicrobial and antiviral, and ingestion symptomatically is not only safe; it is very beneficial.

A positive report on C60 + colloidal gold

I had not intended to take C60 and colloidal gold at the same time, but I had just taken my weekly dose of 4mg of C60 when the bottle of Mesogold arrived, so I thought why not? I took two tablespoons and went to the gym an hour later. I didn't expect anything as I didn't feel any different going in, but I noticed that the weights on the first machine seemed a good deal lighter than normal. Turned out this was true for all the machines but one (and I was maxed out on that one to begin with). On one machine I used 190 pounds as easily as I normally used 90. That was the exception, but I did substantially better on all of them, averaging about a 1/3 improvement on what I could lift with 5 reps. On those machines where I'm limited more by joint pain, the increase was minimal--about 10%.

As for other effects, I noticed that I built up a sweat much faster in the gym, and a couple of hours later I had a slight head flush, like from niacin but I hadn't taken any niacin. None of it negative, just something I noticed.

Just took it twice few hours ago and just now. Without buzzing this too much, I can say that in just a matter of hours my inexplicable ringing in the ears disappeared. The doctor said it wasn't tinnitus but he didn't also told me why I am hearing that sound in my ears like I would just come out of a club at 4 AM (exactly that sounds in my ears). That doctor said it's not tinnitus, he DIDN'T said what I have because he had no idea I think, but he gave me Celebrex (months ago) and I only took it for a week or so, without noticing much or at all.

I would've even write this all in caps locks by how happy I am right now. I still have to give it time to realize its effects and see how come my ringing disappeared like 99%. Maybe colloidal silver could've done that as well.

I suspect the ringing in the ears to come due to overwork/burnout situations when I'm doing "10 things" at once..

I'm curious about the pot-gold growing results too, but besides that, I'm interested in any effect would have on any plants (mostly vegetables, but I will try an experiment on day on cut flowers and put in water, like roses bouquets and such.. to put them in colloidal gold. I would wonder also if there would be any effect on smoking weed while having colloidal ingested, although I assume there should be no problem.

Any updates? Are these effects persisting?

Lithium and Strontium are soluble ions with well documented human health effects.  I don't think they belong in the same category as nanoparticles of neutral transition metals.  These have been studied much less, and a lot of what is claimed about them on the internet can be traced back to reports by people (Optimox) with a financial stake in them.  I'm not denying anyone's experience with them, but I have to take the Optimox claims of substantial increases in IQ with a grain of salt.  Here's a review from pubmed; there's more if you look.

I know you dont subscribe to the theory of colloidal gold having an effect in vivo, but could you hypothesize any possible MOA? Also, when looking at the unbelievable results had by Turnbuckle above, could you imagine any possible interaction between colloidal gold and C60?

In less than 24 hours, colloidal-gold plants (hereafter referred to as CGP) were about 5 inches higher than all other plants. Within a week, the CGP looked so large and green compared to the others in the test group that they looked like they were 6 weeks older. Furthermore, the others (with the exception of the ones given the "tea") started to show signs of yellowing or curling, which is indicative of the need for nutrient augmentation, which is typical in an indoor grow operation. This was not the case with the CGP. They looked healthy and beautiful.

I tried a plant growth experiment with 1 ml Mesogold each on six vinca (catharanthus roseus) plants, with six controls. These were in 10 oz attached containers. After 3 days in the sun, all the plants were a little bigger, but I couldn't tell that the gold had been any benefit. I thought at first there was, but when I compared them with the picture from day zero, it wasn't enough to say for sure. It does seem that they flowered more rapidly (the treated are on the left).

I can't say it has no effect- both Turnbuckle's and Bubbles' reports are interesting, and I know that Turnbuckle has a lot of experience with research chemicals and their effects.  It sounds like it does something, and there's no reason to believe that it couldn't.  Gold nanoparticles aren't inert, are bioavailable and could interact physically with biomolecules.  To tell you the truth, I'd be surprised if they didn't do something.  The problem is that we don't really have much in the way of data- mostly a collection of anecdotes.  Thus, we're not even sure what it does and doesn't do, much less how it's doing it.

As for an interaction between CG and c60oo, Turnbuckle's experience sounds a bit like the usual muscle fatigue reduction that people often see with c60 (a radical quenching effect seen with some other potent antioxidants), but with a twist- it also sounds like he was experiencing more strength.  With c60oo, people see more reps, but not usually much of a strength effect.  There wasn't much of a time lag between the c60oo / CG and the trip to the gym.  CG probably distributes pretty quickly, but c60oo is a triglyceride that needs to be hydrolyzed by the normal digestive process.  I'd expect that to take longer than in this case.  At any rate, more strength would seem to require improved muscle function which could happen on a lot of different levels.  Something on the neurological level?  That could either involve the process of triggering muscle contraction or maybe something having to do with pain or force perception.  A neurological effect might also explain Bubbles' tinnitus relief, not to mention those Optimox IQ claims that I don't have much faith in.  And then there is the plant growth report, not yet reproduced.  (But officer, this isn't a pot farm, it's science!  Look at this Longecity thread!)

Its true the data is sparse. Even anecdotal evidence, positive or negative, seems lacking when compared to colloidal silver.

My thought about Turnbuckle was that, since he doses c60 regularly, the gold may have had a synergistic effect with the c60 already distributed systemically. I dont know if that is possible or not.

Im not sold on it yet, for the simple reason that peoples experiences seem to vary wildly (more strength, better skin, cure tinnitus, more intelligent, or nothing at all)

Tinnitus can be caused by any number of issues. Some of which are easy to fix such as stress, bruxism, medical issues. Other causes such as loud noise are impossible to cure. I know some army experiments have had success by injecting medication into the "shell" where the broken hairs that cause loud noise caused tinnitus reside but nothing more.

I'm presently taking a dose of 2 tablespoons of 20 ppm colloidal gold with 4 mg C60 in EVOO, once a week. They both have positive effects in the gym, but gold has more nootropic effects.

Using higher weight increases the intensity of your workout so naturally you would sweat more than usually.

Gold has both qualities, interestingly enough. When I take it before bed it gives incredible sleep and I have even had lucid dreams after ingesting. When I take it upon awaking it gives me a bit of drive that carries through the day. Gold + energy drinks is a favorite combination for morning.

I planted them in the yard. I figured they were not the right plants to test this on.

Reporting back. I realize now that my ringing in the ears is actually appearing when I am very tired, smoked weed, got drunk etc...

Probably I wasn't as tired the first time, but I was in the weed binge, so I don't know why my ringing in the ears were stopped, but it still appears mostly around the night when i can hear it. It's not really that bad, I don't even notice it during the day, so don't think I have some sort of severe tinnitus. So, it did not 'cure' it, but it def. alleviated it at that time. Now I'm good as well, no ringing.

I am taking the CG on a daily basis now, like 1-4 (bottle stoppers), but I don't really know much how I would've felt without it.

I am a bit scared somewhat because this is something quite new in our times. There is no accurate study to explain 100% what happens. For example we might know what vitamin C does and how it acts etc.. but gold?

It works very subtle for me, having a somewhat effect on mood as well, like stabilizing and promoting well being, but it's not really as visible as other 'supplements'.. almost 2 weeks so far or i don't remember..

http://www.bibliotec...encia_oro23.htm

We tend to gain weight when the digestive system is not functioning properly. The undigested food left behind inside the bowels is often responsible for increasing the body weight. When colloidal gold is taken, it improves the digestion process and reduces obesity.

I actually lost like 4-5kg without any effort in the last 2 weeks. It might be because of this or due to being hot in summer.. I don't know. And I have around 80kg/176pounds

I don't realize this that much, but I was in a depression, somewhat and maybe a few anxiety thoughts like worrying about many things when I usually just let them be and handle them in their time. After colloidal gold, I find myself that I'm not depressed anymore or worrying as much, but mostly I just feel like back on track, on my way with my things.

Again, this is still subtle somewhat. I do feel that calm feeling after taking it, but after you get used to it, you might not notice it anymore since it becomes part of you.

Will report with better information next time..

Yes, this is colloidal suspension of gold nanoparticles, but I have never heard of this treatment until now, where the gold particles are used as a delivery agent for chemical therapy. I *have* however read up on studies done in the United States, where gold nanoparticles, because they collect naturally in tumors, are used as a catalyst to increase efficacy of radiation treatment. This has even been implemented in the treatment of the same cancer described above:

Marcus Licinius Crassus is reported to have orally ingested liquid gold. He is not on record as having experienced any related health benefits. I seem to recall that he actually had a rather sudden decline in health.

For some reason, I don't take it as often anymore, it's either because I don't remember (tell myself) to take it, or simply put that maybe it did its job so far. It might pass a few days and then I take the CG, but I wonder... I consumed half of a 500ml bottle, so I should stop now and resume during winter, but I don't know much about what next. There's no myth, at least for me, regarding the fact that it might make you slightly brighter in terms of getting a smart ass.

I can't say that my speech or in other words, the cognitive abilities for talking fluently (without "um..uhh..aa..ermm"), is as good as when I was trying nootropics, but with CG I chose my words much better, that it makes me wonder too. It's like I get faster to the point I want to make and I deliver it in a way that is perceived by the others with some air that makes me look... intelligent. One should take for at least 2 weeks to feel it~ but that's on me for now.

I take about an ounce per day of 14nm/30ppm, for about a month. After this time I stop taking it for a while, then, if I get to the point that I feel I am dragging physically or mentally, I will resume consumption.

By the way.. I recently gave some to another botanist for his plants. After one round of administration he began purchasing it from me regularly, which has become quite a cash cow. About a month ago he gave some to a colleague who runs a very large botanical garden. His friend was very skeptical, but he gave some to a couple of species that had been struggling in a new environment. The results were so profound that he did a bit more experimenting.. On Wednesday afternoon I meet with him to fill a *huge* order, and to secure a permanent account. I feel blessed. =)

It seems to affect my dreams in a way similar to Pyridoxine which I found after reading about it on a lucid-dreaming board. If I know that I have a good nights sleep ahead I'll drink some gold.

My amateur theory is that gold, silver and such used to come to us from plants but then we switched to agriculture and it disappeared from our diet. So a little bit of silver and gold every now and then.

Go and buy some B6 and try that by the way. Eat them a few hours before sleep. I only do it occasionally since there might be toxicity from over-eating vitamins every day. Great dream-stuff.

Thanks for the tip on the B6. I am fully aware of the dream effects of gold, and I keep a small jar of Calea zacatechichi to enhance my dreams, but I am always looking for other oneirogenic materials.

Would you mind if you could share some detailed insights? What species of plants did your friends used CG on, what amount, how often, what were the results,, in what stage were the plants..and such. I can't find any information over the internet about the effects of CG over plants, so you're my only source. Thanks in advance!
