Hi Guys,

I suffer from Inattentive-ADD, Social Anxiety, anhedonia, and very low motivation.

I am prescribed Dextroamphetamine (up to 40mg per day) but I only try use it 2-4 times per week, at 10 - 20mg. The problem is I would use it more but obviously I'm concerned about psychological addiction and tolerance issues.

As such I began a trial of memantine, but I couldn't shake the adaptation sides at 10mg, even with slow dose titration, and a consistent dosing schedule.

So I dropped the memantine, have decided I will just use a low-moderate dose of DXM (60-120mg) along with magnesium on the days I used Dex. Will this be enough to fight off tolerance? Do I have to dose the DXM and Dex concurrently? I feel the NMDA anatgonism blunts a lot of the effects, and would rather just take the DXM in the evening.

You need to take it from when you start using amphetamines, the side effects are in most cases very minimal from the reports ive read.
