"how to overcome poor genetics" as I look younger than my age but have too many of the age related genetic health problems that my ancestors had. I have been active with a wholistic lifestyle for decades taking lots of supplements and mindful of diet and activity..still having a steep decline in function as I age. Too many doctors, not enough effective answers or things to do that work.

it's more complicated than just "your genetics". Your genetics may be fine, but your epigenetic profile could be poor, or some combination of both.

Epigenetic is a result of the ability of your ancestors, through environmental exposures, to affect the way your genes are expressed, and in what magnitude.

There might have also been exposure to pesticides or chemicals that have accelerated your aging. I suppose you could try centrophenoxine, or other anti aging substances.

Wholistic living and a lot of supplements isn't enough to stop the process of aging.  You may or may not have poor genetics.  Perhaps they're just typical genetics, rather than extraordinarily good genetics.  Depending on your age and the sorts of problems you're experiencing, their might be things that you could do to make the situation better.   For us to give you any input, we'd need to know more about your health issues, diagnoses, lifestyle and med/supplement regimen.  Don't just start taking things that are claimed to be "anti-aging substances".  Some might be good, others bad.

yes, that is true. I wasnt going to start a thread with my life history tho ;). And tho I am not looking for anyone to diagnose it would be helpful to hear of protocols that effectively improve the aging brain, fatigue, and metabolism for a start and chronic nerve, muscle and joint pain too. I follow lots of 'experts' info, tho so far not getting the results I would like.

I read a book on Epigenetics tho need to study about it more and not sure what I could really do about ancestors influences other than spiritual practices.

Right now I am experimenting w cbd RSHO oil and c-60 Bucky fullerenes and homemade turmeric paste w added ginger and black pepper. I just put in an order for some nootropics. I use Phosphitidyl Choline, CO Q10 and L Carnitine, PEA, Glucuronolactone daily in moderate quantities plus a general vit/min regimen. I have a history of doing various diets and 'cleanses' tho currently just eat a well balanced diet of as clean as possible foods.

Genetic issues are hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arthritis, obesity, diabetes, chronic pain from many causes, anxiety/depression. I dont know that I believe that it's possible to stop the process of aging, tho i do believe we can slow it down and have a more graceful experience of it. I dont totally buy the "Biology of Belief". I dont have that sort of mastery yet. Thanks for reading and feedback.

Spiritual practices will not help the influences from your ancestors. By influences im referring to things like pesticide exposure, alcoholism, drug abuse, pollution exposure, etc, etc.
