This is a big part of the more is more myth when dealing with Nootropic Stacks... Your stack lacks synergy... everything is combating another thing and that is going to fuck you up my friend.... Please private message me if you want my help here, I've done extensive research into the subject of Nootropics and Brain Nutrition, as of now I'm developing a stack that I hope to market as an available supplement in the near future.

Interesting keep us tuned.

I didn't anticipate to actually respond to this but I am amazed at how well my new stack has been for me. To be honest, my memory is usually crap, uneventful and I've been so embarrassed by it that I was reluctant to share that information. The highest previous score I had on a short term memory test prior to taking this stack was 5, which didn't seem like a bad score at the time.

I started taking the first combination I insisted would be in my

supplement stack, Caffeine, and L-Theanine.

At first I thought, after taking l-Theanine by itself and having had poor results that I wasn't going to experience

the results people were ranting and raving about in the reviews, however, I experienced the exact opposite.. You could say this combination has helped my vocabulary tremendously. I've been using terms and phrases I wouldn't normally use like "That's just the tip of the iceberg", and even though that is a common expression I found myself using it, and other expressions more frequently after initiating/commencing supplementation. At first I thought this was merely a placebo effect, being that I had done no testing to confirm its authenticity but no matter what was causing it, it was benefiting me unlike any other Nootropic I've tried... which, there is a long list of nootropics I've experimented with that I do not want to convey, being how long that list would be....

I pressured myself to try this combination because I thought, A. I love caffeine, and B. what is it going to hurt? With much hesitation I ended up convincing myself to try supplementing with it, and I am so grateful that I did. Most of my issues with creativity (word vocabulary) being that I'm a poet has decreased substantially.

Short story, I took antipsychotic drugs for anxiety and aggressive behavior and they ended up ruining my creativity to a great extent, I was mortified at how inconvenient Risperdal actually was, and how horribly it affected by ability to wordplay poetic gestures...

That has all changed, reversibly, my ability to do so has increased substantially.. While so I can't insist it wasn't, I didn't notice any benefits in my memory while taking caffeine+l-Theanine by itself, but being on it for four days I highly doubt it was responsible for my increase in performance on short term memory... However, I still love and adore this combination as it has helped me so much, I am also religiously thankful and might even end up praying to God in my gratitude.

Anyways, I ordered an additional supplement at my local GNC store, with much research regarding this supplement, I conceptualized that a proper diet in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids would actually benefit me cognitively being that my diet consist of mostly popcorn and soda... I actually didn't expect anything from this to be frankly honest, I just thought a little nutrition wouldn't be so bad.. boy was I further from being wrong on the low expectations of proper dieting....

A simple supplement known as Spirulina is a blue-green algae that grows off the coast of Hawaii, and is used as a dietary supplement due to the proteins contaminated in the product... it consist of most of the essential and non-essential amino acids necessary for health brain function, EFA's, Vitamins, and minerals also make up Spirulina's astounding benefits... since Spirulina has been noted as being not a good source of Vitamin B12 due to how it is metabolized as opposed to all the other sources of vitamins the body absorbs well from this supplement , I bought an extra source of vitamin b12.. a supplement containing 500mcg of Vitamin b12... the benefits of these two additives, My memory is almost crystal...

Imagine, reading a magazine and being able to recall most of what you read, or at least being able to remember it well enough to the point that you're able to convey that information to others... somewhat making you a miniature encyclopedia of anything you read off Wikipedia without having to re-research it, go back, and read it again... That has been exactly what I've been experiencing lately after taking these two things... with mental fog being diminished, I am able to remember a large quantity of information that I read without having to stress over it... to some people I don't know if this even amazes you, you might already have A+ memories, but for me, I couldn't be more grateful..

I wondered, is this too good to be true? Is it all in my head? So I took a short term memory test, and amazingly I were able to recall a total of 12 items... the test consist of 10 levels, the first starting off with about 3 items you're asked to recall within a minute of looking at them... once the time passes, you're given a list of about 20 items including the ones you were asked to recollect.. if you get one item wrong, you fail that level.. I was able to recall 12/12 items on that list, the score I had was 6, but that was only because I chose to go no further.. I'd be amazed if I were to find out I could obtain a perfect score, although that'd be a little too good to be true I think.. however, to score high on test like these is no sign that these effects are all delusional.. turns out the evidence portrays exactly what I've been experiencing, a tremendous and exuberant increase in working memory, as well as short term recall.

I am amazed at how well this stack has worked for me personally....

If you're thinking about trying this yourself, I must report some side effects

I've experienced from this stack, which include:

- Difficulty Sleeping

- Loss of Appetite (Probably due to the Spirulina)

- irritability (loud sounds), (Whatever it is you're trying to pay attention to, it is undivided attention and distractions will irritate you a little.)

- Less time dreaming nonsense (Sounds goofy, but everything I dream about it seems has to do with what I'm thinking about during the day, whether it involves math, health, or something else.) That's not much of a negative side effect, but if you're the type of person that wants to experience a lucid dream, the dreams aren't very vivid, and your ability to dream is diminished to a great extent. (I've related this to L-Theanine's noted ability to cause the brain to produce more alpha waves.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other than that, I can't say this hasn't been nothing but an amazing experience for me... even if something goes rogue I'll be able to look back with a smile on my face.. as nothing in this supplement presents itself as harmful other than the caffeine in large amounts, I highly doubt I'll be saying "good for a moment" even if the affects of this stack don't continue to substantially improve my general wellbeing..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Stack:

100mg of Caffeine

200mg of L-Theanine

500-1000mg of Spirulina

500mcg of Vitamin B12

If you're interested, I think adding an Avocado Supplement would be beneficial since it is high in oleic acid, which supports the coating of insulation on the white matter of the brain....

Thanks so much for reading,

and if you feel like taking this stack I hope you experience the same results

that I have.

Toodles,

Be careful in regards to wildgorwn or -crafted Algae because of the contamination of toxic metabolic residures of bacterias or something like that.

I would suggest to buy "tank-grown" Algae  products. This is safer and easyer to controll in regards of the Quality.

Other example: Tank-grown DHA oil ( aviable in e.g. Amazon). The algae what actually produces DHA is grown in a tank and then harvested.

You have nearly 0% Heavymetals or other contaminants.

One or two prducts are even approved for Preganat women by the FDA, but ist pricey 60caps with ..dunno.. 100mg = 25 Euro

Yes, I have done much research into this and you're not stating anything I'm not already aware of. The contaminants of the blue green Algae, if you're afraid of bacteria is that Spirulina itself is a cyanobacteria, however an edible one that has been shown to eliminate toxins and heavy metals from the body. It has been used as a heavy metal detoxifier, the Aztecs took this supplement regularly for its health promoting benefits. If something presents itself to eliminate metals, chances of it causing metal related neurological damage are minuscule, while the product also contains iron and magnesium, and zinc, it itself no matter where it is grown, or how it is harvested has not been shown to carry dangerous metals... There has been some concern, that the cyanobacteria might cause liver cancer, but studies have revealed that Spirulina actually helps the production of the liver, rather than cause liver damage. Studies also reveal, that while Spirulina was once thought to inhibit probiotic activity, in test tube studies it has actually been shown to increase probiotic activity... The warnings of Spirulina are merely speculation, and yet these benefits continue to arise from studies... The cyanobacterium has been known to possibly contain  microcystins, and yes some forms of Spirulina were found to contain them, but I haven't noticed any adverse effects, cognitively from taking this supplement.

They also sell organic forms of Spirulina- if anyone has a phobia of the possible health risk... the Spirulina I take is from GNC, a well trusted health store, I hardly doubt they'd ever be selling me shit.

Also, thanks for scaring the living shit out of me..

I had to call a GNC customer service Product specialist who read a long, descriptive paper on how their Spirulina is grown and eliminated from heavy metals and toxins, including other cyanobacteria, and microcystins.... On a second note, I didn't expect to hear any negatives before I called, but better safe than sorry...

The Spirulina I'm taking is safe according to how it is produced, and manufactured before

it is encapsulated.

Although it decreases to a, for me unkown, degree toxin & etc.

I would rather request a Certificate of Analysis.

As You´ve said, better safe than sorry.

Well, rather you get a certificate of analysis.. you could even go as far as to question the authenticity of that certificate, as you can very well successfully question any form of historical documentation according the events between 500-1400 A.D

Unless you manufacture it yourself, you're going to be a little phobic of the results of any certificate, or claim of product purification. I haven't noticed any adverse effects from taking this supplement other than difficulty sleeping, slight irritability, and loss of appetite.. some people may advise completely avoiding something that has these potential affects unless harvesting the product organically by yourself, rather than buying a supplement off the internet... However, this issue is a matter of trust, and I haven't noticed anything but positive results 'cognitively' from taking this supplement.. If I notice mental fatigue, loss of concentration, memory loss, or decreased working memory, I think that'd be definitive enough for me to completely avoid re-supplementing with any of the things I am taking... As I haven't noticed any severe adverse effects, I am going to continue taking the supplement, and I trust the information I received by the representative, who informally took his time to read me fifteen minutes of how it is processed, and how they check for toxins, and heavy metals... I am not going to continue pestering them to the point I stop supplementing out of the fear that the information I received is not authentic....

We are informed of the dangers, or at least I hope we are of the numerous dangers

of taking MAO Inhibitors, SSRIs, Anti Psychotics, Amphetamines, and even the "Ciltep" stack..

or any acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, or something that affects choline transmission...

The difference between this and that, is that I'm taking something that is only

offering the nutrients necessary to help the body do its own work, without excessively

tampering with it to the point that you experience the negative side effects of having either

too much, or too little choline... as I've studied biology, the mechanism of action most

of these nootropic's have are doing more damage than good...

I think the most beneficial supplement has been noted to be Krill/Fish Oil because

of the DHA Content, or anything that helps the body produce its own DHA through

an EFA Supplement, which is probably a safer route...

neurogenesis which extends way out into adulthood is best achieved through two

methods: Aerobic Exercise, and Environmental Enrichment... it can also be achieved by supplements

that help the hippocampus produce BDNF Production, which L-Theanine is also noted to do in rats, as

well as serving as a neuro protective agent.

There is not a single thing that I'm taking that evidence has

shown to impair any cognitive function, everything is well researched and accounted for..

as opposed to taking something like Noopept which has been reported by many users

to decrease working, and short term memory, and various other cognitive functions..

I think the most positive results come from

supplements containing omega fatty acids,

vitamins, minerals, and amino acids...

the best stimulating supplement that I've taken, that

doesn't cause all the harmful effects of an amphetamine is

Caffeine+ L-Theanine at a 1:2 ration... caffeine 100mg, L-Theanine 200mg.

I really am convinced that most of our cognitive issues are caused through our dieting, or otherwise some underlined neurological disorder, or intellectua defect.. not always, but in cases like mine where improper dieting is involved, a health supplement like Spirulina is a great additive, and has served me well unintentionally.

Thanks for the advice,

In regards to no adverse effects, lets me say this:

Go and drink a night long ( 1 promille or more). The next day You´ll feel bad but a further day after, You´ll fell ok again. Right ?

So, did You´ve damaged Your brain or not ?

Next example: Eat food or consume herbs that are poluted with Pesticides and/or Heavymetals.

(above the allowed limit, but not too toxic)

How do You feel afterwards ?

Good !?

Ok, and how do You feel after a certain time e.g. months or Years ?

You see, just to feel good means sometimes not so much.

Is it a fact that poisions accumulate over the time, or that damages are not immediately noticeable or not ?

You are right in terms of possibly flawed CoA

Does this means to consume just everything ?

Would therefore a Tank grown product be probably safer ?

I think so, and heres the reference:

Some blue-green algae products are grown under controlled conditions. Others are grown in a natural setting, where they are more likely to be contaminated by bacteria, liver poisons (microcystins) produced by certain bacteria, and heavy metals. Choose only products that have been tested and found free of these contaminants.

http://www.webmd.com...lue-green algae

There were several sites, but I wanted to choose a known and reputable one.

I´m not here to perusade You !

I´m writing this to the people who want to decide on their own about the possible dangers !

Therefore just saying: "Its 100% Ok, You can trust me...." Isnt quiet objective dont You think ?

I didn't say it was objective, and I didn't say it was 100 percent safe either... maybe I should of eliminated the "safe" bit from my previous statement...

Don't worry, I'll look more into this.

Thanks

Nature's way Spirulina is grown in a environmentally controlled cement pond. The color is a little different than the GNC Brand I bought though, much darker in color.
