I purchased some NEUMYO-OA from TeamTLR. They list this at $349.30 for 600mcg so it is not cheap (around $580 000 per gram or $16 500 000 per ounce :) ). This is on special at the moment so the price is due to go up to $500 for 600mcg so if you are going to try it, probably worth doing so before it goes up lol.

In fairness, the dosing recommendation is around 15 to 30 mcg per day so 600mcg will last between 20 and 40 days depending on dose. I would be expecting to see something worthwhile happen in that time to make me want to purchase any more.

I recieved 3 vials, one that looked empty but actually contains the 600mcg of product and 2 vials of liquid which I think is water with some sort of stabiliser. The 2 'water' vials is simply because the larger single 'water' vial normally used was out of stock at the time they shipped to me so normally expect to see only 2 vials in your package, an apparently empty one (with the product) and one with the 'water'.

I added the 'water' to the empty vial and found that it came to around 2.8ml maybe 2.9ml. I literally completly filled the empty vial to the point that the rubber stopper was bulging slightly. The syringes I use are Insulin syringes with 31G 8mm needles. They are very easy to use and have a capacity of 1ml which is convieniently marked off with 100 lines. That means that each of those lines represents just slightly more than 2 mcg. (That is 600mcg into ~3ml each with 100 markers or 300 total markers so 2mcg per marker)

I left the mixture to sit in the fridge for about 36 hours (min 24 hours recommended) and last night I measured out approx 4 to 5 mcg (about 2 lines) and injected it subq. I didn't 'feel' anything positive or negative  so I will try a larger 15mcg dose tonight to see if I 'feel' anything then. I am more interested in longer term results so I will carry on regardless until the end. I will also be watching my weigh and muscle mass.

One thing I can say is that I normally skip breakfast and this morning I was super hungry witha  sense of urgency. Not sure if it is related but may well be.

NEUMYO-OA is supposed to antagonize GDF11 ('neumystain') and GDF8 (myostatin). Obviously GDF8 should result in skeletal muscle buildup but I believe GDF11 is also involved in neuronal growth and anti aging and this is where I am most keen to see results. Not really sure how I will be able to quantify it so unless I lose the grey hair or some such, it is all going to be a bit subjective. Perhaps if there is significant muscle buildup, I will know it works.

Hopefully someone else will also give this a try so we can compare notes.

This would make a good blog post. Have you setup a blog here on LC?

Why do you want to antagonize GDF11?  Since its levels fall with age and adding it reduces cardiac hypertrophy, it seems like you'd want to increase it's activity, not antagonize it...  At any rate, do keep us posted.

Sorry I have been meaning to update but keep getting distracted.

My second dose was around 15mcg and then I moved up to around 25mcg and have continued to take this amount once per day. I haven't taken it every day due to personal circumstances but try to do so on most days.

I now take it within a few minutes of taking around 200mcg of mod grf (1-29) and 200mcg of either ghrp 2 or ghrp 6 and I take it within about 10 minutes of going to bed. I do a little weight lifting just before taking it.

So far, I'm not sure what I can say about results. Nothing very obvious but I do feel very fresh and clear headed in the morning. It is probably a bit early to see significant muscle growth but I will keep an eye out for any changes.

As I get towards the end of what I have available, I will update with any changes observed. One thing i can say so far is that I haven't experienced any major negatives. With luck, the GDF11 is happening and I am getting younger :) :) Not sure how that might be verified but maybe grey hair and skin tone might change. Not sure what else to look for.

Pwain,

Since this about your trial (as you state above), I think it would be appropriate for you to let us know how your trial is progressing.  Some of us are so interested that we would actually like to hear from you (concerning the use of GDF-11) on a daily basis.  Not to push you, but your last comment on GDF-11 was at 1:53 AM on August 21.

Perhaps some of your fans have already left this planet.

Sorry guys, my superman suit got torn...lol.

So far I can't say it has been life changing. I think my muscles are definitely stronger. I am finding I can do a lot more reps when weight training. My muscles feel harder too, not that the definition has improved, just that they feel harder somehow. I don't really know if my muscles have grown but they probably have in a subtle way. I have been taking breaks from time to time so I still have some left which I will use over the next week or 2.

I feel more alert and cheerful after I have taken it. I am generally taking it a while before bed together with ghrp and mod grf (1-29). Not other signs of aging seem to be affected, Still have as much grey hair and skin seems about the same. I am sleeping longer and am more tired at night so that could be an aging signal since I used to sleep more when younger.

I probably wouldn't buy more, however I really don't regret buying it either. I would like to get some pure gdf11 next time if it ever becomes available. I still think GDF11 has huge potential.

PWAIN,

GDF-11 has been one of my pet topics so I'm very interested in your results. This is why some of us have been looking for ways to source or possibly synthesize GDF-11 but at this point the proposition looks expensive. I also found NEUMYO-OA in my research and found it to be an optimized antibody that has high efficacy to antagonize GDF11, in essence limiting/crippling GDF-11's bioavailability within your bloodstream. All the research to date has suggested as niner points out we want to promote and increase GDF-11 amounts in the bloodstream and try and restore them to more youthful levels.

It's believed at this point is that Human Protein GDF-11 cytokine is a stem cell signaling blood factor. The more we have the more rapid our stem cells respond in certain tissues, the less we have the more our stem cells are conserved and left in a waiting state. There are other benefits to increasing levels but this highlights whats believed may be of benefit to the aging.

There is also the topic of why would the body naturally decrease GDF-11 levels as we grow older. Is there an evolutionary advantage to decreasing levels? Possibly yes because the errors in cell division increase as we grow older. We could write a whole page on the pros and cons of this but some of us believe a stronger autoimmune system will help decrease the risk of cancers.

Some may ask how could this be of benefit to the aging if we use up all our stem cells, wont we die sooner? Well we aren't looking to use them all up, just pick up the pace a bit. It seems that when we die we leave a lot of stem cells on the table unused so to speak, how many, enormous unused reserves.

So as I said I'm very interested in your results and at the same time worried. Keep us posted

Oh before I go, I recently read something about a human clinical trial using a GDF-11 antagonist, this might be of use http://ecancer.org/n...thalassemia.php

Posts about the effect of GDF-11 on aging were split into This Thread at PWAIN's request.  Please make appropriate followups there and keep this thread about PWAIN's trial.

Anyone else tried NEUMYO-OA?
