A couple of people have mentioned doing this and I am wanting to know more about how all this works. Supposedly it's best to start with a smaller dose and increase over the intake.

I have heard there are different types of inositol and a forum member mentioned that he ordered the wrong kind but I can't see that thread again. Which is the corre t?

There doesn't seem to mbe many side effects. Is this right?

It appears that 18g is a large dosage. Are there any issues with stopping or if you discontinue use do you have to slowly do it to attempt to minimize rebound?

People seem to take multiple doses per day rather than all at once, is this ideal?

I got Swanson inositol powder. It says a spoon which it included is 6g. I started with what I estimate to be 1/12 of it and then the next day did 1g, then 2g, 3g, 4,g 5g, 6g, and then 6g in the morning and 1g in the afternoon and so on up to 6g in the morning and 6g in the evening.

So far I haven't noticed much although there are a few things I have observed. I have been getting headaches and recently have been having some chest pain. I am going to do just 6g a day and see if the chest pain goes away.

Taking 6g per day I was still haing occasional chest pains so I stopped like a week ago and they haven't returned. I may do a lower dose again and see what happens.

Taking 3g in the morning seems to have caused them to return.  I stopped.

I

am still having the same occasional tension I feel in my chest.  It settles a bit after I notice it.

On the internet I heard that chest pay can be an allergic reaction to this.  I don't want to develop an allergy so that getting it from normal meals causes anything.
