I used C60 for the first time today. About 5 ml of oil from Vaugther (I might order from another supplier next time).

For me this attempt is somewhat scary since there might be longterm downstream effects that we can not know today, although I'm a c60 "believer".

My heart raced when I dosed the oil, this makes the placebo/nocebo issue very relevant. If I report any positive side-effects they will have to be very solid.

Phys:

I'm in pretty good shape. 30 years old, exercise a lot both cardio and strength, I have done this for a long time.

Sadly I smoke 2-4 cig/week. I'm concerned about the interaction-issue here*. No need for lectures.

I take cold/hot showers every day.

I maintain mild physical activity over every waking hour.

Supp:

Vitamin D 2000IE/day

Glucosamine 500mg/every 4th day

Fruits, vegetables about 1 kg/day, especially broccoli, spinach and tomato.

50-200g nuts and berries/day

10g raw turmeric-root/ once every week.

Coffee, green tea every day.

Starting dose will be 5 ml, I'm going to opt for the occasional dose, perhaps 10-15ml/every month or 5ml/week.

I will report back in a while whether or not this is positive.

This will also be administered to my 16 year old cat who is very sedentary these days. I will try to see if he changes.

(*This issue was, to my disappointment, raised concerning curcumin a few years ago. Might C60 be doing something like this?)

I should add a few things.

1.) I have chronic pain in my neck and chronic pain in my right lower arm.

The arm thing is tendinosis (not tendinitis) and has persisted for 7 years despite numerous health interventions.

It has responded positively to massage and excentric loading with 10-17kg weights but has never been cured by this.

Online research into the subject of RSI has been very excruciating due to the sheer confusion that surrounds the subject.

Many argue that fascia-related scar-tissue is related. But that might be pseudo-science.

Most theories regarding the start of tendinit/tendinos mention that buildup of garbage between the cells that the body cannot remove efficiently --- due to restricted bloow-flow caused by the damaging activity -- is the main suspect.

(I use use my neck a lot when I lean my head forward, and work with my right hand and use computer a lot)

My visible scars on my skin will be photographed.

If C60 seems to cure these ailments I'm going to be stupendously surprised. But I suspect they will persist as the biological cause for them is likely a big mess of a multifactorial thing.

2.) I also have two dental titanium implants, is there any known interaction with this and C60?

3.) I took 15mg of MitoQ for the first time yesterday and had a positive response in energy, of course maybe placebo related but it was the final action that prompted me to consider C60.

I wouldn't worry too much about the curcumin result in a transgenic mouse model.  Curcumin in that model showed a higher rate of oxidative damage in the lung, while c60 is a very potent antioxidant.   Let us know how your cat reacts.  There have been a lot of cases of old dogs responding really well to c60oo.  Someone must have given it to an old cat by now, but I don't remember any specific cases, other than Mind's cat, which was very sick.  (Didn't get better, sadly.)  I have a chronic tendonosis (biceps, bilateral) that was really bothering me a lot.  An orthopedic surgeon put me on a program of shoulder PT, which I kind of wondered about at first, because the shoulder was pretty distant from where the pain was.  I was willing to try anything, however, and it worked really well.  It now seems to be better than ever, so it's possible that c60oo is helping, but that's only a correlation.  One thing to be very wary of if you lift weights to failure is the fact that c60oo will interfere with the muscle fatigue process that is the cause of "failure".  This is a radical-based signalling, not a case of running out of energy.  We've had maybe ten people blow past their previous rep limit, feeling like superman, only to promptly injure themselves, typically inducing a tendinitis.  I've come to the conclusion that muscle "fatigue" is really a protective effect.  Try to resist the temptation to increase your reps by very much.

Regarding your neck pain, I had a neck injury decades ago that resulted in injured discs.  Years later, they looked very thin on xray.  I eventually treated it with PT, which helped a lot.  I've noticed recently that my neck has really been feeling good lately; better than in years.  Once again this correlates with c60oo usage, FWIW.   I don't see any theoretical reason why c60oo should have any interaction with titanium implants.

I think that MitoQ and c60oo are both mitochondrial antioxidants.  Because they're chemically very different, I'm curious if you will see any effects, either synergistic, antagonistic, or additive from combining the two.

As far as long term downstream effects, that's a possibility with any pharmaceutical or supplement, including MitoQ.  C60oo has had more human use by now than the typical pharmaceutical prior to FDA approval.  On the other hand, it's all in random people, almost none of whom are getting the level of medical scrutiny that would occur in a drug trial.  Nevertheless, at this point it looks pretty clear that there are no obvious near-term problems cropping up.  Only time will tell as to subtle issues or problems that develop over a long time scale.

I will discontinue MitoQ meanwhile. The exercise problem is on my radar, thanks for covering it. I went to 15ml today. Will do it again in a month if everything feels alright.

Well two days passed and I can't say I feel any different at all. Nothing good or bad. No difference in endurance.

I'm going to start fasting now so the effect will be even more obscured.

I was already in very good shape (30 and lots of exercise, vegetables, have fasted in the past) so I was skeptical wheter or not I would feel anything.

I have given a bottle to a relative who is a bit more frail and feeding some to my cat so I'll see what happens to them.

I'll return to this topic later with updates.

(Why was it moved to retailer?)
