Insulin like Growth factor 1  is part of carbohydrate response.  Rather amazingly, National Geographic says that people absent ILGF-1 genes have zero cardiovascular disease as well as zero cancer as well as zero diabetes. (May 2013) They actually use the word "zero"  Thus I suggest that immunizing humans that have attained their full height against ILGF-1 would reduce illness causing much greater longevity.

This is science you can do with agricultural animals, which would also give them the benefit of greater longevity as well.  This paperhttp://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/18036243 describes how a copper reacted version of low density lipoprotein causes antibodies to low density lipoprotein effectively reducing athersclerosis.  Thus simply ordering some ILGF-1 then reacting it with copper or  then giving it to barn mice then measuring their reduction of cancer as well as improved cardiovascular wellness like absence of atherosclerosis gives the person doing the barnyard science the ability to think

So this works with wild mammals.  Do I dare Snort copper complexed ILGF-1 to produce antibodies to prevent most human disease?

It depends on your condition and age today. If you are in a bad condition and feel you got little to lose, fire away.

If you are young and in good health then go with xEva's fasting advice and maintain a physical activity. I suspect IGF interventions will become available in a not distant future.

This is a very interesting and novel idea Threonverdery.

Note that BHT and Vit E seem to have a similar effect by preventing the oxidation of LDL etc in-vivo and have had tox studies and life extension studies done.

I suggest talking to AgeVivo, Niner, Dreamer, et-al about doing a mouse or rat experiment?

Vitamin E supplementation has been proven to raise cancer risk in some men with up to 100%.

If you're feeling lucky, go at it. ;)

Which of the 8 plus forms of E were used in these studies Corb?
I'm guessing the petroleum based Alpha-Tocopherol found in most multi's?
Do you have links to the studies?

If I remember it correctly the study was about supplementation of vitamin E in men that have high levels of selenium in their system.
I don't have the papers, I read it on a reputable medical news site.
