I found a spring not far from me here www.findaspring.com
I filed up my 6 gal glass carboy. This water has never touched plastic or the inside of nasty pipes. And it's free!

Free, but is it clean?  Do you know anything about the aquifer it comes from, and what pollutants it might contain?  There's also the matter of dissolved minerals.  That's probably not a problem, but in some areas water may be naturally tainted.

I'm going to get a sample tested. I can't imagine that it would be worse than my municipal water supply.

Is your municipal water supply particularly bad? If you called them up, you could probably get a list of the things they analyze for, and the levels that were found. My local water company sent me a very detailed report.

I drink spring water that comes from the Dolomite Mountains in Italy. It is high in trace minerals and low in sodium. Your spring water is probably high in sodium, and possibly bacteria.

I believe the best water is one I have no negative thoughts about it: so, I should have no worries about its cleanliness and it should have the taste I like.
