Hi.

I don't eat meat and therefore creatine monohydrate used to work as a nootropic. The nootropic effect of creatine supposedly only works for those who do not eat meat.

However, recently I have begain supplementing with taurine and carnitine.

Taurine and carnitine are healthy, and they can only be found in meat.

After I tried taurine and carnitine then creatine monohydrate didn't work as well as a nootropic anymore (i think).

Could it be that taurine and carnitine use decreases the effct of creatine monohydrate as a nootropic?

I don't see why they would. Are you taking them together? If so, try spacing them out a lot more, e.g. take carnitine early in the day and the others at night. I take all of these and I have not experienced any negative interactions.

Ok. But does creatine monohydrate still work great as a nootropic?

It's up to you to determine this, don't ask beause you will be influenced in any way by the potential answer. The better way to know is to feel not more.

It's hard for me to tell. In general I am not at all sensitive to supplements and drugs, and very few of the supplements I use have significant noticeable effects, especially acutely. I take these three more for general health and for interactions with other supplements than for cognitive enhancement. Plus, I only take creatine  after workouts, added to my protein shakes. Between my insensitivity, exercise, whey, and the fact that a few months ago I ended 7 years of vegetarianism, I honestly couldn't tell you if creatine is helpful to me as a nootropic.

I think that he is smart enough to tell himself if he feels in any manner better cognitively or not ? I expected that my former message was clear.

And he has not the ability to, then asking external help is useless if not mistaking. But I understand I use to read a lot about supposed effect of substance but then I experiment most of what I read particularly for side effects.
