I posted this over at reddit; but, I'll post it here also:

So, until now I've relied on myself to get interesting compound out in the public domain for research purposes; but, since I don't have the time (soon college starting) to keep this going I'm wondering if we can organize something like this to speed up the process and make it more efficient and profitable to both potential buyers and sellers:

  1. Create a platform where novel compounds are proposed for polling.

  2. Vote on which compound of the above proposed to synthesize.

  3. Send a quote to a trusted supplier for a small initial quantity (e.g 100g).

  4. Collect funds trough crowd-funding websites like kickstarter.

  5. Initialize synthesis.

  6. Lab test compound with the funds already mentioned above to check for purity, authenticity, and quality of given compound.

  7. Redistribute compound to parties involved.

Both seller and buyer benefit from this as the seller already has the funds guaranteed and have a group of volunteers willing to research the compound. If said compound works out then seller has assurance that the compound will sell well and parties involved spread out risk in the joint venture.

  1. So, this forum could serve as the think tank as to which compound would be voted upon (done so already to a large degree).

  2. Then funds could be collected through kickstarter or another reliable crowsourcing website.

  3. Send quote to trusted lab. See if reasonable/doable.

  4. Collect funds to a trusted individual who would be chosen to handle the funds or an escrow service could be utilized.

  5. Send sample of compound to trusted lab for testing.

  6. If everything complies, pay lab, send compound to re-distributor.

  7. Redistribute.

Ideas? It's honestly not that hard. All that's needed is this be set-up and it'll flourish on its own. Eventually, if this grows large enough sellers could compete with buyers as to who first obtains/synthesize's any given compound with sufficient interest.

Win-win, IMO...

Now, proceeding to actually making a project:

=============================

I might as well get this started. Looking for proposed new compounds anyone would like to see synthesized, preferably already in Phase II clinical trials to have some certainty that the compound isn't bad for health. Couple of options include:

MI-4 (Ro-25-6981)

(2S,6S)-hydroxynorketamine

CERC 301

4'-dimethylamino-7,8-dihydroxyflavone

P7C3A20

One selected I'll propose which compound from the above or proposed by members of this sub-reddit to ask for a quote from a trusted supplier. Then based on that we'll know how to proceed.

Thanks for your input!

CERC 301 and 4'-dimethylamino-7,8-dihydroxyflavone are very interesting compounds.
