what's the hype on turmeric purportedly healing the brain? Not sure if it heals it "physically" or what? Last time I checked a heart can heal itself but not the brain maybe as far physical damage. Not sure if this is now true with brain healing with the use of turmeric?

I've eaten curry foods in my life plus flavorings with turmeric in them but is actual turmeric supplement the way to go for the most benefits?

Is curcumin turmeric?

No, curcumin is in tumeric.

And I would stick with the root powder instead of pure curcumin

Because there are 1 or several other ingredients that are healthy

and they increase the reabsorbtion of curcumin.

Better use tumeric powder instead of Curry spice, since the ammount of tumeric can vary.

And allways consider the bloodthinning effects.

Afaik its mechanism is that of Aspirine (cox- 1&2) so IIRC  for 8-11 days

But better inform Yourself propperly.

so don't take aspirin or any blood thinners when on turmeric? There's a product for sale that is curcumin powder at 95% pure, should I avoid this? In parenthesis it notes (turmeric).

No not avoid but there are 1 or 2 additional compounds in tumeric that arent in curcumin, since curcumin is a sole compound of tumeric

like aromatic-turmerone

Brain repair 'may be boosted by curry spice'

And the bioavailability is lower unless there is an agent which increases it like bioperine.

Afaik, alternatively the other compounds of tumeric could also increase the absorbtion.

Aspirine shouldnt be a problem, but better investigate it for Your self.

I dont guarantee anything.
