In recent years there has been a drop in funding for science when inflation is taken into account (at least in the US, but probably elsewhere as well), yet more science could be done everyday. We need to call our representatives to let them know there is interest. For every call or email a politician gets, they assume it is the view of 10,000 people. I've come up with a list of questions and the information that you'll need to contact the right people.

For incumbents, you're looking Legislative Directors, Assistants, or Correspondents in that order. Politicians will probably have several of these, so ask for the Legislative Dir/Asst/Cor that handles Healthcare or Science.

You can look your representatives up using www.senate.gov or www.house.gov .

Here's a list of questions to ask:

Hi I’d your stance on lifespan extension is. It’s usually not something you can find on a political website –

  1. Will extending lifespan be a part of the party's political agenda?

  2. Is the party interested in life extension?

  3. Will the party be campaigning for establishing government projects sponsoring research aimed at treating age-related diseases and increasing longevity?

  4. Does your position recognize aging as a disease.

Please post the results of your contact in this thread. Feel free to ask any other questions your feel are pertinent or suggest better questions.

This isn't just for the US, we need people globally to get in and support this initiative and it will be interesting to find out who is a lifespan extension supporter.

Called the offices of Chris Coons in Delaware earlier today. There were some changes to the staff, but I've sent JJ Singh (Legislative Assistant - Finance) an email requesting an opportunity to chat on the phone.
