I have severe anxiety, and OCD, I have also have extreme self-consciousness, I analyze all of my actions ect. ect. This has led me to serious social isolation. I've tried so much self-help bullshit, and everything says brain chemicals are bullshit, and it is all about will-power. LOL, I have pushed myself to go out, but the same fight/flight, and self-consciousness kicks in, and I freeze to the point to where I can't have a conversation without looking retarded. I am on BUSPAR 15mg 2 times a day now, it definitely has an effect, but it is worsening anxiety now. I figured it's a simple process of getting worse, before it gets better. Is there anything else I can do? I am using forced/constant positive self-talk to fight the thoughts. I've looked into ACT and CBT therapy a bit, but it is essentially just positive self-talk/reframing. I do watch A LOT of pornography, and I look at pornography daily. I also masturbate to porn daily. I was wondering is there ANYTHING else I can do to re-up my dopamine/seratonin, without supplementation?  I just want to be a normal person, with a normal social life.

I know what you're feeling. And before I say anything, in MY experience, BuSpar only gets worse. There wil be an issue with mood unless the buspirone acts to attenuate anxiety to the point that life becomes a breath of fresh air again...no, there will be issues with mood for the sake of anxiety relief, which is fine in some cases. Problem with OCD is it's a bit tricky as you understand. But you were asking about non-spplements to 're-up' serotonin and dopamine. There's food. With OCD, it's very often either too much or not enough, but unless you're overrweight, go for 'not enough' and try to eat more. And well. That's very shoddy advice, I realize, but it's very important because you mentioned OCD. And BuSpar will not exactly make you hungry. I am tempted to say more bad things about BuSpar, but I'll restrain myself. (and what is the main reason that you want to re-up serotonin and dopamine of all things? to somehow balance out the buspirone?)

Hey there, not sure why you got so many negative votes, maybe its saying something about the audience of this forum changing for the worst...

You don't have a problem with dopamine/serotonin depletion.

I totally know where you are coming from as I went through EXACTLY the same problems, the solutions are really wide and I know what can help, pm me so we can chat privately via skype the stuff is too much to cover in one post. you can also read my previous content which a lot of it has to do with similiar problems.

For the rest of you reading, quick solution is to switch of your phone and stay away from ALL social media for 5 hours. Facebook is worst than porn.
